At least the two presidents born in Texas more or less balance out. Ike was one of the best, and LBJ was one of the worst.
Arkansas had their one shot, and they gave us Billy Jeff. Won’t hold them fully responsible for the shrew, especially since she was sent packing, but he damn sure tried for that 3rd term.
At least he knew how to adapt to the surroundings, though, and modeled his presidential library after a single-wide by the river.

The American voter had a chance to keep him out of office. But nope, 32 states plus DC won the election in 92. They had a chance to keep him out again but nope, 31 states plus DC. Didn't know Arkansas was the only state that had enough electoral votes to get him elected twice.

A movie with Tom Cruise, I forgot the name had cartel drugs shipped from South America to Hope. Bill was involved with the drug shipments as the governor and supposedly had involvement with the Dixie mafia.

Interesting extension to the Ike thing: Nimitz was born in Texas, and MacArthur in Arkansas. So, the three most consequential WWII military leaders for the US came from Arky (1) and Texas (2).
Nimitz and MacArthur were polar opposites when it came to accolades. MacArthur was a showboat, and Nimitz just got things done.
