How is the Arkansas front 7 going to be?

It’s not at all a foregone conclusion that Bama will improve at OL this year so with a high level pass rush they might have a chance at impacting the offense.

I know the transfer you got from Bama, Drew Sanders could end up an All-American if he continues to develop.

I hated to lose him, but with Anderson locking down one side, Turner looking like a high 1st rounder on the other and now Braswell turning heads someone was bound to leave.

Unfortunately I'm afraid that may be the weakest link on this Razorback team. We are pretty much loaded everywhere else. Of course we don't have the depth that Bama has but if we can stay heathy and catch a break or two this should be the best chance we've had at upsetting Bama in many years. I'm afraid this game will settle into a game of bully ball with both teams just running right at each other and Bama will eventually wear us down and pull away in the end. But you never know, a turn over or two and the Hogs just might pull out a close one. Really looking forward to this game.

You're not, it's possible that Arkansas could win.

I’ll put it this way.

I’d be willing to admit that Arkansas this year on their best day can beat Alabama on their worst day.

I don't think it's probable, but it is possible.

Likely wrong, but we're closer to pulling an upset than in past years. More complete team with a Pittman level OL will keep us in games like this one.

Don’t let your hatred for Nutt blind you to what he accomplished at Arkansas.

I like Arky and their coach, but Bama would have to have major injuries to a number of key players in order for the hogs to win.

We were one touchdown away from beating them last year in Tuscaloosa. We return 4 offensive lineman our quarterbacks 3 running backs both tight ends, and the only hole is at receiver (albeit a big one) where we need some young guys to step up. On defense we are thin at linebacker but have talent at the top there, have one of the deepest secondary units in a long time at Arkansas, with the question coming at Dline. We have a lot of bodies down there that could play but we’re still waiting to see if anyone is going to step up there and be a real game changer. Overall with the way we played them last year at their place and the pieces we have coming back I think it’s within 14 points so if we can get a break or 2 to go our way we’ve got a shot. With the talent discrepancy between the 2 schools that’s really all you can ask for.

Bama is better but not to the point that Arkansas is treated as a Sunbelt team.

LSU in rebuilding mode. aTm has good players coming in, but are very young, and I don't even know about Auburn, but they don;t seem to be brimming with confidence. The west might just come down to this game, or the Ole Miss/Bama game. If Arky can establish their running game on Bama, then they will be able to control the clock. (keep Young off the field). But if Bama gets a two score lead, Arky might struggle to catch up.

No, you were one TD away from tying.

Everyone thinking this game will be close based on the previous season's game need look no further than Ole Miss-Bama 2020 and 2021. Most thought it would be back and forth whoever had the ball last wins type shootout, but it was a beatdown from start to finish.

Not saying it will be a beatdown, but most in this thread seem to agree that Arkansas will need a lot of help and a career performance from their QB to even keep it close.

Are you implying that the Arkansas game last year was a beat down from the beginning to the end?

BAMA will be significantly better this year. I just don't believe Arkansas can say the same. And after last season's defensive efforts, I don't think the hogs get that again.
