Real programs don't care about the SEC Tournament.

Now don't get those Arky fans rustled!! They claim that "in baseball nobody cares where you been it's where you're at now."

Until they don't win or don't make it.

How many total games has Tennessee won in Hoover the past 15 years? Actually, how many total games have they played there? Is the number for either question greater than or equal to 5?

Good Teams absolutely do not spend their starters or even key bullpen guys in Hoover. Good teams never worry about Hoover, they are already hosting and they know it.

Arkansas does have an odd baseball history. Historically, they don't have great season or conference showings. But their post season is solid.

I’m torn on it
I think every game should be taken seriously, but regional seeding going into conference tournaments is more immovable than NCAA basketball conference tournaments

Tennessee is a founding member and has never won an SEC Tournament that included teams from the Western Division.

Just like with basketball, nobody remembers the conference champions. The tourney is all that matters and what each years team will be remembered by.

LSU has won the SECT 12 times. They made it to Omaha 8 of those years. They won the CWS in 3 of them.
Saying good teams don't worry about or try to win in Hoover is a farce. Good teams use the SECT to prepare for tournament format baseball. That includes pitching your good pitchers as well as trying to find a 4th starter for tournament play.

According to the hogs basketball metrics that's all that really matters.
If they could just figure out how to get a 3-7 team in the football playoff I think they're set.

Facts. All three of Tennessee's tournament titles were from 1993-1995, which were the three years the SEC had two seperate tournaments and were held on campus. The SEC was trying to weazel their way into getting two auto-bids. But the NCAA just gave the divisional tournament champion with the besy overall winning percentage the auto-bid.

Nobody was beating Tennessee those years .

LSU went to Omaha in 93 and 94 and won the national title in 93. Tennessee only went to Omaha one of those seasons, in 1995, and got smoked in the semi-finals. So clearly, people were beating Tennessee in those seasons. They went 1-2 in a home regional in 1993 and lost another home regional in 1994.
