You're no real basketball fan if you're overly concerned about regular season or tournament conference champs. They're nice and the banners are pretty, but it's all about the dance in college basketball. Nothing else really matters.

If you can keep the conference title, but will be bounced first game of the dance, or have 6th place in conference, and make the final 4, which one are you going to choose?

Neither answer makes the conference championship unimportant. It's the damn SEC Championship.

I'll take the elite eight or a final four over whatever is done in concefernce.
It would be embarrassing if a team did win a conference title and did get bounced in the first two rounds.

Never said it was unimportant. It's great to win it and you should be proud.
I'm just saying that when I watched basketball today, I wasn't thinking about a conference championship. I was worried about seeding.

Guess I'll be bringing Cochise and riding him through Gainesville.
This is weak dude. And Sad.
Sad that a dude, who loves a team, who was absolutely no factor in the SEC this year. Zero. We giggled when Florida came into BWA this year. Flat out giggled.
And all you can come up with is Bill, Hillary, Jerry Jones and Bobby Petrino.
Sad dude.
Especially for a bunch who got boat raced by Choklahoma.....and had a scholar, with such wisdom, that he chucked a shoe down the field, resulting in laughter throughout the SEC.
Go sit down.
