Arkansas, Kentucky, Auburn, USC - Get in here (UGA QB related)

You have watched your teams play against UGA so I want your opinions.
There's some stomping and stammering in the UGA nation but we're homers so we need objective eyes on this one.
JT Daniels was supposed to be the savior and lead us to the promised land. He played hurt vs Clemson. Then has had very limited time since then. He has played in 8 quarters of football at the halfway mark of the season.
Enter Stetson Bennett. He has picked up 100% of the slack and balled out, clearly a better QB than he was last year.
JT is the shiny 5 star transfer... great arm and high FB IQ, high IQ in general. An excellent QB by any measure.
Stetson is the overachieving 2-star that is playing lights out. And he's got wheels. He's leading the SEC in YPA, against the field and against P5 opponents. And with a host of backup receivers and TE's who have stepped up. He doesn't have Pickens to throw a 50/50 ball to. He only had Washington come back just recently.
When JT Daniels is healthy enough to start again, if you are the head coach, do you bench Stetson and start JT?

Only if I'm playing Alabama. Everyone else, UgA can trot my arse out there at QB and win by 30.

We have seen what Stetson can do already and it wasn’t good enough. We need JT for the final part of this journey.

Which of the above teams are you a fan of?

Stick with Stetson IMO. He’s good enough to get you all ahead while your defense does it’s thing.

you are a UGA fan, your opinions carry too much emotion. This topic is for people we've played for some possible objectivity. Thanks for understanding.

I haven't seen other games than ours. Stetson played great. I wouldn't bench him till he plays poorly.
You don't need 30 points a game to win. You need 14.

No emotion about. But I will bow out so that you can get honest and legit answers from those teams. Good luck.

I would not sit Stetson at this point. For reasons that are not fair to Bennett.
The only thing that can screw Georgia at this point is a failure to play complementary football. Georgia's Defense is, as I've said over and over again, as good as 'Bama 91 / 92 ... and in some ways better. That front seven for Georgia doesn't have to stunt or blitz to stop your run. They just have to flow.
So you don't need flash from your QB. You need steady. It's not going to take that many points for Georgia to win a ballgame. 24 or so will do it ... and most of that will come in the second half when a team wears out on defense after that steady diet of three and out.
Keep playing Stetson. Keep his arse in the pocket. Keep getting into halftime up 14-7 or so. Good things will continue to happen if you do. Take the easy answer.

I think JT takes y'all to that next level that it might take to win it all.
I'm a chiefs fan so it kind of reminds me of Alex Smith/Mahomes. Smith was playing great but he wasn't a game changer like Mahomes. Moving away from Smith was the right move even though he was probably a top 8 or so QB in the league at the time

I'd have a hard time benching Stetson but you have to if JT is better. If it's close to the same ride with Bennet. And if it's going bad in any game don't be afraid to switch gears and QBs.

I would not. The only thing that can put Georgia in a bind is turnovers. Barrett is a better QB ... but he has a higher chance to turn the ball over just because he's a higher risk / reward guy.
The only chance Kentucky had in that game - and not much of a chance - was covering that incomplete pass ruled forward fumble in the first half.
I'd play the safe QB from here on out as the Dawgs.

I’ll just say this: Stetson Bennett IV is about the most Georgia quarterback name in the history of Georgia quarterbacks

JT has the most cheesy porn stache on the team so play him.

Stetson.
If its not broke, dont fix it.

the world loves Stetson
given that, you have a natty to win, so you are actually stuck with a two-QB situation and you need to manage it
Monken has the experience to pull it off
don't overthink it - they're both good, they both get some time

Id leave it like it is....its working

I would’ve rather have Auburn played against JT, if that answers your question
Posted on 10/18/21 at 7:56 pm to deeprig9
Stetson played well against us and I think if it isn’t broke, you don’t fix it. You can always bring Daniels in if he starts to struggle.
Posted on 10/18/21 at 7:58 pm to deeprig9
Would probably keep Stetson at this point. If he struggles in a game, that is one thing, but why risk breaking something that is working.
