His main benefit is his international ties though. Patrick is the guy for Australia recruiting, hence his stint at St Mary’s. He’s a good hire, not trolling, but he’s right about only landing Simmons because he’s family

Checks all the boxes for Muss. SEC experience, NBA experience, and connections to the West coast just like him.
Makes a lot of sense. The international connections and head coaching experience are just a bonus.

His wife is from the tiny town of Oberlin, LA. I was really hoping he’d make it back to BR one day. Perhaps down the road after Wade has won a few championships and moves on to the Lakers.
