Ruscin is awful and should have been let go years ago from that job. Why our fans are backing him up now and over this, I have no idea.

Arkansas has a lot of radio personalities that need to go but we replace one idiot with another idiot and the cycle continues. Over the years Arkansas has not had one that was worth a shite.

I think it's because virtually all Arkansas sports media people are sunshine pumpers that anytime anyone criticizes anything about Hog sports, people freak out. Go read Hogville for a huge dose of that mess. Those guys make Rick Schaefer look like a pessimist.
(Well, that is until the day after a coach gets fired, then everybody comes out of the woodwork talking about how terrible the coach was. They never seemed to notice before.)
But anyone who watched the Hogs baseball team this year -- and I watched EVERY game -- saw that Turner ought to keep his damned mouth shut. He hit OK, not great, but OK, but was serviceable as a catcher. I'd take Dylan Leach behind the plate over him every day.
He can't carry Casey Opitz' mitt. I would like to see the stat of how many "wild pitches led to runs, because almost all of them wouldn't have been wild pitches or passed balls with Opitz (or even Leach) behind the plate.

I Remember Rick was on the radio arguing with a parent of a recruit. That got heated when Rick proclaimed this individual was wrong and he is right. Then you have Randy who gets trolled by callers who goes by the name jackmeoff. He never got the joke while he was humiliated on air.

The guy is a dick and should get fired, I can agree with that. However, when fans point out a teams lack of fire, poor play and dismal effort, the last thing the team should do is turn it around to bash and blame the fans. That will get backlash every time.

I’ve never heard of this radio personality before, and couldn’t care less about what he says.
The team shouldn’t either… Turner whining about ‘mean people’ when the team should be focused on getting the Eeyore look off their faces and back to playing ball… it’s not a good look IMO.
Imagine if Derek Jeter had complained about New York fans… the fact that he was Jeter would have gone out the window in a hurry, and they would have eaten him alive.
Turner is complaining about a few idiots on Twitter when the overall fanbase had the largest support of any college baseball team this year.
He might want to stop with the ‘Connor Noland needs to throw his fastball for strikes’ kind of interviews, put on a thicker skin than this translucent look he’s got going, and go to battle for his teammates on the field.

Since Twitter has been around, I have never seen any Arkansas coach or player that were as outspoken as the baseball team and that is a surprise to me. It wasn't just DVH and Turner but Moore was bragging after sweeping LSU that Arkansas will meet a certain team in the SEC tournament. Well open mouth and insert foot.
DVH and the team need to tune out the negativity and go play ball. DVH should have not said one word about the fans and someone should have coached turner to say no comment to the media. But doing the opposite will only fuel the distractions that this team doesn't need.

This team has bad chemistry and they don't play well together. I would bet some of these players have arguments after the games. Either way they have lost not because they were less talented but because they allowed the dysfunction from the outside world creep in the inner circle.
