I have a lot of respect for Sam Pittman, but as someone familiar with the talent level there, and having watched my school twice hire a position coach with no coordinator experience, I know that's it a last ditch effort.

I understand that Kiffin choosing Ole Miss wasn't expected but how does HY not have a back-up plan? Billy Napier is from the Swinney/Saban tree, Willie Fritz has built multiple programs up, and Hugh Freeze would've walked to Fayetteville. What happened?

This is a genuine attempt at understanding how HY failed.

Is Arkansas about to have another coach that won't win a conference game before getting the boot?

I mean look at the records post Pittman.

As for hiring a coach man have an over inflated view of our program right now. It’s just not an attractive job much like UT when they had to get Pruitt.

The hope on my part is he can ad stability to the program and we can build a decent foundation.

With all this cutthroat competition in the West it was inevitable that State, OM, or Arky would fall way behind and start taking a torrent of L’s right in the B. I’m glad it wasn’t us.

If started before Hunter but the answer above is somewhat right. Bert had a solid thing moving in the right direction till Pittman left. That doesn't mean Pittman will be a good HC but Bert and the Arkansas program really started heading the wrong direction after Pittman left.

We have the 5th best recruiting class for 2020.

Arky fans would literally smash their thumb with a hammer to even have a top 10 recruiting class.

Arkansas fans would give a testicle just to be in the top 105. Right now they’re rocking that 117th class but 105 is within reach.

Didn't Dabo fire Napier and hire Chad Morris?
