How anyone can say Arky didn't have legitimate NC hopes is beyond me.

Such awesomely legitimate NC hopes that ESPN ranked Arkansas #14 in their "way too early" preseason rankings.

quote:

14. Arkansas Razorbacks: The Hogs have made major strides under coach Bobby Petrino, finishing 11-2 and defeating Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl. But the Razorbacks have been unable to get past SEC West heavyweights Alabama and LSU, which has prevented them from becoming a legitimate BCS title contender. The Hogs are expected to bring back seven starters on offense and six on defense, but they'll lose a lot of star power. Receivers Joe Adams, Jarius Wright and Greg Childs are leaving on offense, along with guard Grant Cook and tackle Grant Freeman. Defensive end Jake Bequette, linebacker Jerry Franklin and safety Tramain Thomas are big losses on defense. The defense looked better under new coordinator Paul Haynes in the Cotton Bowl. The best news for 2012: Arkansas plays Alabama and LSU at home.

If LSU wants be the dominating program they think they are, they should hire Bobby while they can.

You never answered me before. How intimidated was your team in the 4th quarter last year?

ESPN mentioning LSU as a hurdle, when they HAVEN'T been any more of a hurdle for us than Arkansas has for THEM, is flat out fricking retarded.

Under Petrino, Arkansas has fielded two teams capable of competing for a national championship. One of those years, Arkansas beat LSU and got to the BCS instead of LSU. LSU was "unable to get past" Arkansas in 2010. LSU has not dominated Arkansas like Bama has; quit acting like yall have.

LSU never had a shot against Bama on 1/9. Play that game 100 times and Bama wins every time.

Nice deflection from the topic.

And I'll reiterate: Some of your fans deny y'all hide behind Bama like a bunch of pussies.

I know the 4th quarter of that game was the highlight of your season... I'll let you have it.

With both LSU and Alabamuh at home this year I personally believed that it was plausible.

But after this past week I really don't see it happening.

It's all up to the players and how they respond.

No, not quite.

The highlight was winning the SEC Championship while you were watching it on TV in your trailer, after you finished banging your sister.

LSU has one good season (21-0, lol) and they think they're Bama. 2007 (10-2, losses to UK and unranked Ark, lol) was a long time ago. LSU fans need to learn their place.

When you lose three games or get blown out vs the two biggest opponents you have, you're not "competing."

Woopty fricking do. you lost to the national champion by 18 and lost the sugar bowl. Y'all "competed" for the title in the same way that Dubose "competed" for the naty title (Except he actually won a little hardware)

Beating Oregon, West Va Alabama and Georgia were "more better highlighting" than Arkansas. We all knew Arkansas was done before the half was over.

And yet we've won the conference 4 times since 2000 and played for the natty 3 times.

Sure, Arkansas has been a hurdle for us and we've been one for Arkansas but clearly our history of clearing hurdles is a little better than Arkansas' history.

In short, when Arkansas actually wins a SEC Championship game or a Sugar Bowl, you'll get the respect you so desperately crave. Until then, people in the media and elsewhere will continue to doubt that Arkansas can win enough big games to get to the show.

Joe Adams from 2010 called, he's wondering if Mathieu has caught up to him yet.
