shite happens in college football. If Arkansas managed to upend just ONE of LSU/Bama and beat everyone else, they had a good shot of playing in the NC game. Go 1-1 vs LSU/Bama and hope for the best. Guaranteed shot at the NC game? Of course not. But you can't deny that Arkansas had a better shot than most schools for 2012.

Because both Bama and LSU beat the Hogs by more points than the Hogs beat 4 or 5 team in total. You got lucky to beat A&M, Ole Miss, Vandy etc... You never had a shot this year, with or without BP.

Arkansas is, at best, the third most talented team in the division next year. They could possibly be as low as 5th; A&M and Auburn both have had better recruiting over the last few years. I could see haters saying that they're on the level of the Mississippi schools, but I disagree with that. But they're definitely a class below Bama and LSU.

Like I said. shite happens. You HAVE to get lucky to get to the NC game at some point in the year. A missed field goal, big penalty, you name it.
No one is suggesting Arkansas would be the most talented team. A very talented team with loads of experience can make waves, though. Just have to split versus LSU/Bama and hope another school helps you out with an upset. Stranger things have happened.
So I think those people talking about our hopes being dashed are just conceding that we probably won't be able to go 1-1 with an interim coach/replacement.

Maybe you should pray that Les Miles starts banging a 25 year old, drops 20K cash on her right before he decides it is a smart move to put her on his payroll, crash a motorcycle when he should be at Spring practice and and then lies to his boss and the media that she was on it and that all the above never happened.
Sound like a whole lotta praying you need to start doing cause only an idiot could pull that off!!
