Father-In-Law is a Bammer, and wants to take me on his guys trip to Arkansas this weekend. We are staying in Little Rock. Any suggestions for places to go out? We're going with a big group on a bus with a planned out itinerary, so don't need food suggestions, just bar suggestions. Thanks.

Why are you staying almost 3 hours away?

That was my question to him. These guys are all Big Wigs and can't stay anywhere that doesn't have a $teakhouse.

Got coltons all over NWA

isnt the game at 11? I wouldn't want to make that drive in the morning. If LR it is, plenty of stuff around. Don't walk the river at night or go to sketchy places.

How did they get to be big wigs if they are that stupid? Sounds like they are a bunch of Mama's boys that can't cook their own steak and inherited their wigs instead of working for them.

We're staying at the Marriott downtown, any suggestions for nightlife?

Not too knowledgeable of LR night life, so hopefully someone else can help you out.

There are plenty of $teakhouses. The question is what you want from one-- you can pay as much as you like.

It isn't the arse end of the world, like anywhere in Mississippi.

sounds like you are handicapped by the circumstances. Just relax and enjoy the show and turn down their offer next time. If they are exerting control over you like such then don't have any fun and tell them at christmas you didn't have any fun and will not be going on a road trip with them ever again.

Can't tell if this is a defensive post or not. I didn't pick where to stay. They wanted to stay in a bigger city.

Do you like craft beer? Go to flyway in north Little Rock. Or Blue Canoe on 3rd Street.

i've only been once (don't remember much) but looks like there are plenty of bars right near the marriott. If you like beer you can never go wrong with the flying saucer and it will be 2 blocks from you.

Flying saucer is crap. Especially with the craft beer scene in Little Rock.

There's multi good steakhouses in LR.

I want to try Saltlick, Saltgrass Saltwater- whatever it is called next time I'm needing some hot beef. I've heard good things.

I like them as a starting place to help put a plan in action. The bartenders at them are usually nice and understand that they don't have much local flavor to offer just a large selection of beer. They usually have good advice on where to get some local flavor.

Bummer. The weather is great. Y'all should've camped and hiked on the buffalo river.
