This rule change will die.

Spread and HUNH sells a hell of a lot of tickets and advertising.

The dream matchup everyone wants to see? Oregon & Texas A&M and the series is scheduled to go down in a couple of years.

He'll outlast the coordinator UK hired.

Nah, we run the HUNH better.

The last thread I saw about LSU's fake cramps got the poster suspended... they don't like that kind of talk 'round these parts

It's been said that Cam plans to run an up-tempo offense. I've heard 80-85 snaps a game. It isn't a spread offense but a rule change will definely effect those plans. Either way, it's been proven than an Oregon-style offense can be neutralized. It's funny that Arky used to be one of those fast-paced spread offenses under Petrino.

The NFL uses it quite a bit. It's not a mainstay, but they use it if they have favorable matchups and don't want to allow the D to substitute.

This isn't the right place but reading this it popped in my head. Is Gus still gonna use those pictures on the sideline for plays? Chaney doesn't do that does he? I hope not- just looks so stupid.

If Cam can develop Mett(which I'm pretty sure he can and will) into running his offense with the weapons he'll have around him this year, we're gonna shock a whole lot of folks and I can't wait. Finally have a proven OC. I'm excited as hell. (Hopefully Mr. Hill doesn't get booted for good) Just noticed that I kinda hijacked this thread. Sorry guys. Go on.

Hope so man. After that Clemson game, my enthusiasm was a negative 10. But after the hire, and thinking of the guys we have...really stoked. There's another thread here where Phil Steele lays out what % of tacklers are returning. TCU is in top 10, so ought to be a really good test right out of the gate. Geaux Tigers!

I think we're gonna be up for the challenge. With our schedule, we'll no choice but to take it one game at a time. I like the way the media has already counted us out. It should give put a chip on the team's shoulders to prove them wrong.

Coach Bielema is in good company, Saban said the same thing in 2012 LINK

Bielema wants to slow down the game for offenses...so he hires the OC that had the second fastest pace among all SEC teams in 2012.

In fairness, that was due to Tyler Bray and a helluva good receiving corps. The only reason we weren't even faster was the conscious effort to run the ball more. However, I don't think we'd have been nearly that fast under Chaney's offense without Bray and a lot of that was Bray winging it rather than following orders to slow things down a bit and give our pitiful Sunseri defense a breather.
