Arkansas coach Pittman finally got his big chance, a decades-long path rooted in family

I swore that Arkansas fans saying the AD never interview Drinkwitz. Here is the part that showed these names that interviewed for the Arkansas HC job.
"Pittman wasn't Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek's first choice to replace Chad Morris, whom he fired after a 4-18 start in less than two seasons. The Razorbacks interviewed Lane Kiffin, Mike Leach and Eli Drinkwitz before hiring Pittman, who had the support of many former Razorbacks lettermen who played for him when he was the Hogs' offensive line coach from 2013-15."

Just because others were interviewed first doesn’t automatically mean they were offered the job. Also doesn’t mean Pittman wasn’t the first choice. In almost any coach search more than a couple of people are interviewed.

Year two and Drink going backwards. Will be lucky to win 6 games this year with your cupcake schedule. Boston College hahahahahahH

You must be dumb to not know how bad of roster Drinkwitz had to deal with what Odom left him with. The team roster * rating in the SEC is still 13 out of 14. Drinkwitz is going to get his team roster to be much better in a couple of years when he gets all of his players on the field at the same time. That normally takes about 3 to 4 years. I am very happy with him. He cannot fix everything in his second year after his first year was a huge success! Recruiting is the key! Then getting more experience to learn from his mistakes. He isn't going to be one of the coaches Arkansas went through before hiring Sam Pittman. Drinkwitz is by far the better HC Missouri have had in a very long time! Have you not understood how recruiting makes a huge difference to having a good team? Sam Pittman is a good hired for Arkansas but do not act like Drinkwitz is a bad hired for Missouri!
Also, Arkansas roster has been by far much better shaped when Sam Pittman took over. Yes, there were holes that needed to be filled. Drinkwitz is still dealing with roster that isn't 100 percent ready to compete against top teams in the SEC. he has a much harder of a job to get it done in a shorter time than Pittman has to do it at Arkansas with a much better roster than Missouri. I say both schools made the right hired so far. Good luck to your game with Georgia.

Chad recruited some good skill players but no OL and DL.
Sam fixed that quick. He also hit the transfer portal. Was Drink not smart enough to hit the transfer portal? No reason to go backwards in year two.
Also you predicted Mizzou to go 8-4 this year and you play one of the easiest schedules in the SEC.
You claiming he has holes to fix to compete against legit SEC teams. Dude can’t even compete with BC and will struggle with TN who lost 20 players to the portal.
You also hired a DC that’s never called defense in college and was fired at every stop minus one and out of a job last year

Wow! Kentucky and Boston College are both undefeated! You telling me they are both bad? I guess you think differently but not me. I had Missouri going 8-4 but realize it might be more likely go 7-5, Might still go 8-4 and those two games experts were saying could go either way in those two losses. How was that bad? Drinkwitz didn't have a good roster to begin with. He is recruiting a lot better but will need to get them all on the field to get better results and get his system to work.

Do you understand Odom was a very bad recruiter when he was the HC?
The DC will need time to get his players in the system. He is new in in college. Give him time to get both his players in and to learn the college level of playing and in the SEC. Odom had many years of that and so you act like all should be fixed in his first year and know everything in his first year. Like I said he got his coaching staff in placed and now the recruiting is coming in nicely. It takes about 3 to 4 years to get all his players on the field at the same time.
BC is undefeated and you act like they are a bad team. You must be an expert picking the teams to be good and which will be bad?
Didn't some of the Arkansas fans say we have the players to compete but not the coaches. Now you got Sam Pittman and the coaching staff. Drinkwitz isn't going to fix the roster overnight to compete with the rest of the SEC.
Wow! You knew Missouri with a still not 100 percent roster fix to make a huge impact to being a great team to compete with others.
He did hit the portal but the roster was not an easy fix to get it all in in a short time! Arkansas had the much better roster to begin with.
Your OL are from Chad and they are not Freshman and from the portal. You are the ones lying!

He left with a much better roster to work with than what Drinkwitz has to deal with from what Odom left with a bad roster. Huge difference! He finally hired a better HC and coaching staff. So did Missouri. But it isn't going to be as quick of a fix. Like I said it will take 3 to 4 years. Drinkwitz should get it done next year or two. That is exactly what I said. I didn't expect an overnight fix. Why you acting like Drinkwitz is a failure? I guess you are not very bright with what is going on with other HCs and the teams.
