Did a good job at Miss State. Had 3 good years at Florida. Everybody is entitled to a bad year. Are we blowing this out of proportion?

I think so! He’s a good coach, with the correct personnel a dangerous coach! I think most of the distaste for him comes from losing games, not taking credit/blame for loses. Always saying things like”we had more yards than them”… on the other hand a bit of a weird dude that I don’t think some of these potential recruits jive with.

Yes, he’s a superb coach who has just had a few unforeseen bumps in the road. He needs a 10 year contract extension as the Gator head coach.

I personally think he deserves a Jimbo type extension to prove to the recruits he will be there

I expected a dropoff after losing Trask, Pitts Toney ect but if the team looks like its given up then something has to be done.

I think he can possibly turn it around with the right hires but we'll see as it looks like he has been given another year. Recruiting HAS to be shored up.

With this 24/7 news cycle every comment a coach makes is dissected. Like his recruiting comment. But it's obvious he was saying he wasn't going to discuss recruiting with the media until after the year. Not that he doesn't recruit until after the year.

Barring getting blown out by a pretty lousy FSU, we should see him next year.

Nothing like coaching under a storm cloud though. If it starts going south expect him to mail it in.

Yes and no. Yes based on how you framed it OP. But no based on how they look this year. I mean my goodness, South Carolina is atrocious this year and Saturday was absolutely something else Florida wise. I hate Florida, but they're better than this shite this year.

Getting rid of Grantham will definitely help. Todd Grantham is the Nic Cage of coaching. How the frick does he keep getting work?

I still like Mullen as a nice play caller
They lost a ton of talent off last years team
He found dak when LSU whiffed on him
At the end miss st had best dline in the sec with Simmons and those other guys even had Chris Jones
First thing he needs to do is find def coord

Jim McElwain was a far superior football coach.
