Are we able to have a discussion about LSU's next coach? What about Chris Petersen?

I think Ed is probably out after this year. Who is LSU going to get?
I think Petersen would worry me the most, if Woodward could convince him to come out of retirement.

I see him at least making a call to Lincoln Riley, I'd be surprised if he left that program though. Maybe Fickell next?
Some people have brought up Brian Kelly. I wouldn't like that move.

I think maybe OP was referencing Mark Stoops, who's a heck of a coach. Just depends on whether he wants to enter the dragon down at LSU or just continue to make that $5 million forever at Kentuckky.
With playoff expansion looming, making that forever money in a place where there's no pressure seems like a reasonable position.

I hadn't thought about Gruden. That might be a really great hire. Would be the first LSU coach I can remember who I would like!

Gotcha, some people have mentioned Bob (which I think is unrealistic) so that's why my mind went there.
I think Mark would be a good hire but like some others listed is probably down the line.
Truth is, this hire will probably be a lot like LSU's baseball hire. Tons of names will be flying around. Every other day we will hear so and so will be announced shortly as the head coach. Then at the end of the day, whoever is hired will be someone that was never "leaked" from the admin.
Woodward seems like he likes to play mind games with the people that like to be the ones in the know and leak information.

He's not leaving the PNW. His son has a medical condition that requires a specialized doctor. It's the reason they stayed in Boise for so long. Plus he's retired and I doubt he'd like to come to LSU to try and fix a dumpster fire of a program.

Ed O is probably gone? Ed is already gone, they just haven't made it official. So Ed better screw as many LSU students as he can before he gets handed the pink slip.
With all the Aggie hate from LSU fans because we own them in the SEC....puts a smile on my face to see LSU being compared to Vandy as the worse team in the West. What a garbage program. Thanks Ed for ruining LSU football!!

Peterson not coming nor is any of the other three you listed. LSU is not a destination job anymore like it once was. LSU will offer 3 or 4 before settling on there #5 option and then swear they others wasn’t offered and they got who they wanted. Baton Rouge is crime ridden and one of the worse city in the country when it comes to crime.
