I know that they were suspended for 8 games, but MSU could pick and choose the games that they play in. Is Auburn one of the four games they'll play in?

If we are smart we will play them.

We will beat Tenn, Arky, OM without them.

We would lose to LSU and Bama with them.

A&M and Auburn are the only two winnable games where they could make a difference. We have no shot at auburn without them because our defense sucks without Willie Gay and Autry

This kind of crap right here is how a team gets embarrassed.

There's only 1 Gimme game left on the schedule. State has to be very careful in using the available resources to get to a bowl

That's for you to find out and Moorhead to know. Watch the game.

shutup cane geezer. They are gimmee games this is why we need to play autry and gay this week. Well ole miss isn't but there are 3 left. Abilene, Tnner, and Arky. we can beat them with our backups.

UT and Arky are gimmes have you seen them play?

OM not as much but they aren’t great. I would understand saving some suspended guys for OM though.

But no fan would be any happier with 6-6 and going to birmingham for a bowl than 5-7 and sitting at home.

Roll the dice and play the odds and try to get a 8 win season

No one outside of the program knows. We dont even know if the 8 games is true, but that is the prevailing rumor.

That's likely out the window since we crapped the bed against Kansas State.

I don't remember ever seeing suspended players playing in only certain games. It's always been the number in a row, then done.

It is really unclear if the suspensions are part of the NCAA sanctions, or just a school academic punishment. Suspensions were not mentioned at all in the NCAA press release, and the school cannot release any information on academic disciplinary matters.

Everyone kind of assumes State offered up the suspensions as part of the negotiated punishment with the NCAA, but there is no concrete information out there.

FTR, if they have to miss 2/3 of the season, then I would have just suspended them all for the first 8 games and be done with it.

It's the new NCAA.

Seriously, this was the first case to be handled under the new guidelines. Missouri was one of the last to get punished under the old rules. They got screwed

I said the same thing, but I think it’s because the players aren’t “suspended” but rather have “lost eligibility” for 8 games. At least that’s how it was explained to me.

That's not a very good explanation. If anything, I think it would be the other way around. If a player lost 1/3 of his eligibility, like Renardo Sydney and Will Redmond, then they would miss 1 season plus 1/3 of the next season. If a player is merely suspended, then maybe it could be up to the University as to when they are suspended.

Regardless, I don't see much difference between being suspended and losing some of your eligibility.

Go ahead and count Ole Miss, Arkansas and Tennessee as automatic wins. That's how you lose games that you are supo9 to win.
