He seems to have you guys roped in.
When will the seat start to get hot? Or has it already?

It's pretty clear he runs a dirty program.
So I would assume that if they continue to be just an average ball club his seat will get hot in a hurry.
Calipari is a high risk coach. But lately the reward isn't high. I figure he won't be there too much longer.

None of his 4 at Kentucky have been vacated. Memphis and UMASS have been, he’s been to 6.

Either way. Dude is a proven fraud. And now Kentucky is just average. And they're average because his fraudulent model is making it hard for him to put a team on the court with any sort of chemistry.
When he has a roster turnover every single year, he is going to find himself uncompetitive in a stronger SEC. This year and moving forward.

How come he doesn't recruit some guys that will stick around as well as one and dones? Would seem to work you would think?
Posted on 1/21/18 at 12:46 pm to ForeverGator
Because his entire recruiting pitch is that he puts kids in the NBA.
Well, that and cash.

He's tried to in the past but they all leave after one year anyways. Not one player on this team is ready for the NBA but 2-3 will go because it's all about potential.
Knox and Diallo will declare without a doubt. Gilgeous-Alexander is iffy.
Washington, Vanderbilt, Green need to come back but we'll see. Wouldn't surprise me if one left.

It's dumb to jump if you're just projected to be drafted in the 2nd round.
See Devin Robinson for example. Know what he's doing now? Playing in the D league for $75k. Dude needed another year.

I agree completely. I question the advice a lot of these kids(at all schools) have gotten in the past when it comes to declaring.

Can you imagine how many agents and handlers reach out to these kids on the daily?
Agents figure, if they get enough players, they'll get one drafted high enough and get paid, and the other players will just go by the way side.

How do you recruit a class of one and dones if your current one and dones don't leave? Looks like it would upset the applecart.

Don't forget that there is another round of FBI indictments coming soon.
Certain program administrators are likely to be sweating bullets this very minute.

And roster talent through it all worthy of 5-7 nattys. Seems legit.....

Meh. Kentucky has only won 8 National Championships with some fantastic coaches in multiple decades. People who think you can “easily” go out in basketball and win 5-7 in that period is ridiculous. Or making some shitty comparison to football.
