Are coaches legally prohibited from sharing performance bonuses with players?

Kirby Smart would receive a $1 million bonus for winning the TCU game or 750,000 even if Georgia loses, for whatever it's worth.

That’s literally pay for play and not allowed at the collegiate level

Georgia got sanctioned by NCAA when Mark Richt shared his bonus with other coaches.
