miss st has the same problem they've had for the past 5 yrs. there passing game is horrible, not consistent. tech stacked the line and state couldn't move the ball consistently through the air. arkie will get better but they are gonna have growing problems this year

Arkansas has always started a little slow in games early on but they had to pull one out of their asses against what one Arkansas fan I know referred to as a "high school" team.

Nah... don't think so. I think we'll have growing pains and have a rough year but we played 15 freshman and our starting RB was suspended (along with 3 defensive starters).

We'll be ok. Ironically, Casey Dick pulled this game out for us.

You should never have to "pull a game out" against that caliber of team. It can be blamed on "freshmen" but Nutt also had rebuilding years like this yet always seemed to beat down teams like this. All I can say is that the Ole Miss game might be interesting.

While I agree, we are left in this situation BECAUSE of Nutt. He never had rebuilding years like this with a new offense/defensive scheme, etc. to boot.

I'm not saying we'll have a good year... quite the opposite but we will grow and get better as the year goes on.

Arkansas, yes!!! Horrid... Mississippi State ran into an improving La Tech team that is full of young Louisiana players that were just left out by LSU (Calais, Jackson, Livas, Hitt and a bunch of names LSU fans know). I still think Mississippi State will be 7-5 give or take a game. Arkansas, looks to be the pit of the SEC.

my parents went to the game and said casey dick looked really good. i don't doubt it either because he is being coached by petrino who is a master at molding qb's. they had some suspensions and injuries for the first game but i think petrino will have the air attack going by the end of the year.

Another SEC West team played about that many freshman and put a whooping on a top 10 team. Arkansas is garbage.

Hopefully, we're play better in the next game. W.Illinois should have won. Gave the ball away deep in our own territory. Dick looked great (get your mind out of the gutter). Granted it was w.illinois he had his first career 300 yard passing game. 1st time a qb at arkansas had a 300 yard passing game in 9 years.

I don't know about y'all but I definetly see some potential for a ulm win over arky this week. They played auburn much closer than the score indicated and arkansas was less than impressive in their opener.. Regardless I'll be at the game in little rock. Sure would be nice to see ulm get some revenge for all those beatdowns! Btw guys first post so be nice..

Games in Little Rock and ULM is far better than Western Illinois. I could actually see Arkansas lose this one but they probably won't. I'll be interested to see a couple more weeks play before making any judgements. Arkansas CANNOT be THAT bad just as I don't believe Alabama or Ole Miss's win's are indicative of how good/bad their teams actually are.

Same here. It was the first game of the year. We also gave them a few gifts inside the 20.

Not trying to take anything away from LA Tech, but MSU did about everything they could wrong in that game to lose (4 picks, special teams miscues). I think Tech is improving because of some of the transfers they're getting, but I doubt Tech will win more than 7 or 8 games this regular season.
