Its just a UGA and Miami thing.
But I would say his fake preacher act and pretend "discipline" actually made the usual culture of thuggery around the UGA Athletic Department even worse by creating an environment where the thug players essentially just walked all over the coaches, staff, and administration without consequence. This often spilled over into games where UGA players felt like they didn't have go answer to refs, or the rules of the game, and that's when you saw a lot of the dumb thug BS that you saw thUGA pull in the Richt era.
Don't get me wrong, this is thUGA and Smart is a thUGA product, so you won't see much drop off in the thug shite from Georgia anytime soon.
Same with Miami. Anytime they are good there is a lot of thuggery going on. But you've definitely seen it get worse the last two seasons since Saint Mark and his fake Joel Osteen BS rolled into Coral Gables. That's not a coincidence. I know Right played his college ball at Miami, but he definitely picked up a few thug tricks from thUGA in his time in Athens,
