Always heard Cooper Manning was better than either of his brothers

People say things like this all the time, but it's not true. Cooper was a wide receiver and would have ended up being a solid college player who might have gotten a sniff in the NFL but wouldn't have come anywhere close to the success of Eli or Peyton.

However, it is interesting that Arch is playing QB tho. If he has Cooper's and Archie's wheels, he could be a scary prospect.

He was the more athletic.

But he played receiver so he wasn't a greater player than them.

I always thought he hated LSU too until he did that interview.

Rebalz get him all day longz.

As to Cooper, he was an excellent athlete and it was unfortunate that he couldn’t fulfill his potential. But he made his career in petroleum finance (I believe) and has done very, very well for himself. I met him once-and he is all class.

Eli was the most athletic and anyone in the family would tell you that. Eli was the only one of the brothers who could dunk a basketball in high school.

Cooper was a great athlete and won a state title in basketball playing alongside Randy Livingston. Turns out he had a serious medical condition then undiscovered. He probably shouldn't have played any high school sports at all.

You could be right. I was only repeating something I read awhile back. I am thinking Peyton or Eli made thstatement, but that could have been as a nod to Cooper to make him feel better after the way his career ended.

He was, however an All-State WR, and signed a scholarship to Ole Miss, so he was better than average. That said, it is also possible Ole Miss signed him in hopes of getting the inside track on Peyton.

Not saying you are wrong, by any measure. I would think you are in a better position to make the call than me.

Archie was something to see. He was scary good. People that put him down never saw him play, imo.

Thanks for the clarification on Cooper, though.
