Well it helps when the Big 10 and PAC 12 aren’t considered. They had about what? 8+ teams preseason ranked combined.

(1) 8-10 teams that would be ranked aren't because of the P12/B10 aren't ranked. With those, Appy isn't ranked

(2) They finished ranked #19 last year, went 11-2 the year before, etc. Beat UNC and South Carolina last year, almost beat Penn State the year before.

Happy for Marshall's good start. A good friend of mine (a coworker also before I retired) and his wife went to Marshall.
