Slightly surprised AU got jumped by UNC. Guess an asskicking to Louisville trumps an asskicking to Ole Miss.

I'm actually glad Ole Miss is ranked because LSU sports never play well when we're told we're the better team.

UNC would have to disband their program to get kicked out of the top 25. Even then they'd be in "others receiving votes."

We have 13 first place votes and are ranked #3. Michigan has 9 first place votes and is ranked #2. Makes sense.

In all seriousness, I don't have an issue with how you choose to rank the top 4 (all have a good case) but the first place vote thing is just weird.

Im assuming some voters ranked us really low.

It's really the only thing that makes sense. There's a group of voters that just doesn't believe this team is legit (not sure why given the resume but oh well). I know there's one analytics guy from Kansas but he's not enough to bring us down a notch.

Getting votes

The fact we are getting votes is laughable...sure we won a few games but we are far from a top 50 team much less a top 25 team.

Wonder if LSU cracks the top 25 if we beat Ole Miss. I'm thinking yes. Tough game though.

Also, Miss State ranked with 12-3 (0-2) record. LSU unranked with a 12-3 (2-0). Interesting.

Dang. I’d take Aubbie with the home court advantage.

Unless the Vols have something unexpected happen this week, they jump to 2 next week with Duke losing tonight.

If we take care of business this week, the difference in first place votes between us and Michigan that I mentioned earlier suddenly got real interesting. I'd bank on UM getting the no. 1 spot *but* a lot of voters like the way we're playing.
