AP 1st Team is lulzable

Obviously the AP wasn't going to put four bigs on a five-man team so the KenPom one is kinda weird

He calls it "all-kenpom" but I think it's really just his Top 5 rated players w/o considering positions.
2017 it was Thornwell, Fox, Monk, Frazier, Bam......lot of guards on that one haha.

Yea, me and the NBA scouts think he is pretty good at basketball

He's a definite one and done, so yes, I'm sure they do. Sometimes a coach just doesn't know how to make it click with that piece.

8 man team is better than a 5 man team

Yea I'd definitely agree with that.

Top 10 in WS last year was
Thornwell
Monk
Bam
Fox
Frazier
Allen
Saiz
Robinson
Kornet
Maten
Whereas Top 10 in WS this season looks way different
Maten
Roberson
Macon
Q
Harper
Davis
Chiozza
Robertson
Barnett
Silva
That list would've triggered some folks

The way LSU, Washington, NC State, and Alabama have played lately definitely call into question whether the one-done-model is a good idea if you're not Kentucky or Duke
Most non blue bloods are better off just stockpiling four-year players

Personally I think both Ken Pom and Sexton are slightly overrated. That’s not to say Sexton won’t do big things at the next level.

Yea - I agree. But, the flip side is, sometimes the 4-star solid player you start recruiting turns into a Top 10 1-and-done kid, which is exactly what happened with us and Sexton.
But I do agree, unless you time it perfectly or have a set up that is conducive to it (about 5 places do), it's not the ideal scenario.

Sexton hasnt reached his ceiling yet, but he's still one of best players in the country.

Playing on a team with no shooters in which defenses can pack the lane and make it difficult for him to get inside really hurts him. When he's allowed to play a more 1-on-1 game in space, like he will at the next level, he'll thrive.
And, even with all that, he's had an extremely solid year - even under difficult circumstances. The kid plays balls to wall hard every second he's in the game. Love watching him.

Yep he will never cheat u on effort. Kid worked his arse off to go from unranked in high school his junior yr to where he is now .

Guess so, but I don't care. AU is the highest seeded team in the conference tournament and NCAA tournament (as projected), and will finish in the top-20. AU baseball is undefeated (13-0), football finished top-10 and won the West. Feels fricking good craigbiggio.
I'm sure you love it.

It'll be interesting to see how Vandy plays next year. Garland, Shittu, and maybe Langford are all likely one-and-dones but they're losing two huge four-year players in Roberson and LaChance. Saben Lee is the only returner they have who's been a consistent contributor. I'm probably more down on them than most and don't expect a tourney team unless they do get Langford although Garland is legit
