Anyone know the rules on players sharing NIL money?

Personally I would love to see a star share his NIL wealth with his teammates much the same way some of them share awards and accomplishments, rightly recognizing they would not be in a place to receive them if not for the support and work of their teammates. But I haven't heard of this yet and don't know the rules. Anyone heard of this or know if the rules forbid it?

I would think the players can give money to anyone they want to. Probably just the IRS tax rules would apply on something like that.

I know Kentucky BB players made an agreement to donate a portion of their NIL earnings to charity.
The name players also helped broker some deals to include the whole team in profit as well. That seems to be the best way to do it under tax law to be honest.

I, too, have wondered if there are NCAA rules preventing team mates from giving each other money, even before NIL rules went into effect. Like let's say a rich kid on the team takes his team mates out to dinner and pays for their meals. Is that not ok? Or was it not ok prior to NIL?
I know you'll see former team mates in the NFL invite their buddies still playing college ball to games and whatnot and no one ever makes a big deal about it, nor should they.

Idk personally if they do, they can, haven’t seen rules, but to be honest, what kind of person asks that to a player to begin with? Would you share your paycheck with a co-worker if you made more and they worked just as hard? It’s just a weird expectation to place on a person, when it’s their money, very taboo question at least in TX to ask

Yet - it's been done for decades in the NFL - QBs sending the entire offensive line on vacations, extra gifts, etc... etc.. etc...
I like how the chain of gyms in Miami did it - a blanket offer for any Miami player. I also would think a smart QB would take care of his linemen.
As far as the NCAA's "rules" ? Who cares. The sooner the NCAA dies - the better.
