Anyone else secretly love this time of the preseason?

Fall camp just about to start, Media Days and July 4th behind us, all that's ahead are the opening games of the season and the hope for what could be. The anticipation is killing us so we find ourselves rewatching old games, comparing campuses and towns, and devouring any little article or radio conversation that strikes up a football argument. All the neighbors are slowly beginning to hang their team's yard flags and when the sun starts to go down, you can almost smell autumn coming.
I love the thick of the season but I think I love this time of year just as much.

Someone did God's work and put several 2014 Georgia games on YouTube. I'll watch them at least 5 times before the season begins. That was a fun team to watch

I'm with you on that one. I've watched Arkansas-TCU, Tennesse-Vandy and Iowa-Michigan off and on this weekend. It's been fantastic getting back into the football mood.

The underwhelming hire LSU made really dampened my excitement for this season. I can only hope for the best though.

I use this time looking through tea leaves.
What keeps coming up time and time again is Auburn will go
15-0 Ship!
The tea leaves are skrong

I suspect it is not tea leaves that are giving you this vision. Share some of that with the rest of us buddy. No one likes the guy who hogs all the good drugs.

I used to feel this way. The anticipation has lessened for me to an extent since I already know we are going to win a championship or at worst play for one. I mean I wouldn't trade our situation for another and the fun is in the winning but I honestly looked forward to it all more when I thought we would be good than I do when I know we are.

I like it because I still have high hopes and my team hasn't started losing games yet

I am watching a rerun of Texas A&M vs Tennessee on SEC Network from last year so you know I'm ready for some football

At least LSU has the opportunity to possibly be good on both sides of the ball. The Miles years was like having an arm, a leg and a lobe permanently disabled.

I love watching the games on YouTube and starting to work on some new decorations for my place & office. I'm always excited for CFB to get ready to go, even before week 1.
That said, I'm kind of not as excited due to a lot of the off the field crap (with the rumored stuff on H Freeze), my alma mater MSU with a string of sexual assault cases (although Dantonio kicked 3 guys out), so I guess there's a bit of a damper.

Unrelated but those full length games help the workday go by so much faster

It's not available in Arkansas. High grade stuff called Winning. DEA grading of 15-0
You can get some decent meth in your part of the country I'm sure.

Just rewatched 2016 GT vs. UGA comeback and the leap of air Searcy to rub out the Dawgs at their place. Also watched GT destroy UK again. And the VT game last year where our new QB went up there and ran the option like a surgeon.

It's awful actually. Thank God Freeze got fired to give us something to actually talk about. Maybe if we discussed football on this site...

And players start reporting to camp in around 5 days or so. It's almost that time again

They're awesome. There's a YouTube channel called One Hour Football where this guy uploads condensed versions of just about any recent CFB game you can think of. It's great.
