Anyone else feel like the 4th playoff spot should be a play in?

Sure it adds another game, but I feel like it would smash a lot of the problems. Or like this year, make ND play a play in game since they dont have a conference championship. I doubt any teams would mind playing a game like that if it allows them to get in the playoff.
What does the Rant think? Any other ideas?

They added two play-in games a couple years ago.

People will whine at whatever point it’s cutoff. Everyone close had their chances and blew it.

True, problem is they still wouldn’t be 5th. It’d just be another team getting another mulligan.

Maybe that play in could be used though. They are an undefeated team and the 4 selections look like it went by record.
