Suddenlink has been jacking my bill up $10 a pop every few months for years now. What started out as a $129 a month tv and internet package had grown to $215 this month.
I killed the tv package yesterday. I only used it to watch SEC sports on espn. The wife streams now.
I figure ill get espn+ or youtube or something if sports ever returns.

ESPN+ will not get you anything except boxing and the occasional baseball game

Good move Charter Spectrum does the same shite even after I negotiate to a deal I feel is fair after being loyal for 12 years.
Yes inflation yes I understand but at some point there needs to be an appreciation for people who stay year after year and don’t switch around every 2-3 years.
Anyway I may cut mine soon as well.

My wife watched tv. She has moved to streaming in the last year. My SEC network subscription kept me hanging on to it.

WatchESPN and a digital antenna for the network channels and you'll be able to watch any college football game and probably 98% of nay college basketball game you want to. It's non-big pro games or small school college games that you'd have to find another way to stream

That’s their mistake IMO . Every company should have a core of clients that don’t need a lot of maintenance and upkeep so that they can focus on growth and bettering the company from the inside. That can be done looking at accounts like mine and not jumping the bill $5 here and $3 there every few months.

quote:Not a mistake honestly. The vast majority of customers never call in or complain about their bills going up. The only times they call in are when service goes out. I had a buddy that worked at an AT&T call center and he said less than 10% of the phone calls they got every month were related to billing issues.

ESPN+ doesn't have any of the football games that are on the regular ESPN channels.
I guess you could watch Harvard vs Yale football on ESPN+

I cut the cord 4 years ago. I only watch games when I'm stuck at the hotel.

Yeah, that dude is totally wront about ESPN+
If youre OK getting WCC, SWAC and Ivy League football games then sure for your sports fix, go for it. I feel like tRant's contingent isnt looking for that.
I had Hulu+Live. In season its great...can watch all my sports and then on an off night or if Im wanting something non sports related can sift through the movie offerings and or/pick out some TV program. Not a big TV show kinda guy, outside of sports, so i dropped it the moment they announced the NCAAT is dead. Plenty of music videos on Youtube and I have MLB.TV for when the season starts.
