Anyone counting on Dabo going off the deep end and taking CU with him is wrong X100.

(1) I know him. Having interacted with him on several occasions when he was an assistant working under a coach who was a good friend. I was warned by such coach and another vet assistant to watch what you say around Dabo. And I'll leave it at that. He was dead serious, kinda naive and a worker from hell. Those boys wanted to "socialize" and loosen up but Dabo was all business and wanted to get on the road. I'm sure the fame and fortune has changed him some, maybe even a lot but at his base he is still who he is.
(2) He coaches the only good team in the ACC. And with the staff he has brought there and the funding the school has gotten up during their rise it is damn sure difficult for them to lose a reg season game without just stinking it up in a huge fashion. He effectively plays a one to two game schedule depending on whether they win their first playoff game. They can just show up for 13 then lay it on the line for one or two games. He now has the easiest job in America by far (although UGA should be the most talented team) and won't screw it up by doing anything shocking. He actually believes all that stuff that most coaches throw around as propaganda.

Give that up. Dabo is home now at Clemson for a bunch of reasons. Oh, he wouldn't be afraid of the added competition at Bama but he's not a fool either. Alabama will hire a dynamic younger coach when CNS leaves, it won't be Dabo Swinney since he is never leaving CU.

“Who knows what’s going to happen down the road? I have no idea,” Swinney said. “I just try to be great where my feet are. That’s my focus every day. Who knows? They may do away with college football in three years. There may be no college football. They may want to professionalize college athletics. Well, then, maybe I’ll go to the pros. If I’m going to coach pro football, I might as well do that.

It may be true..He's been buggering several SEC coaches lately with Nick Saban being his latest.
