Anyone attend home games of other SEC teams where they live?

I'm an LSU grad/fan but I currently live in Nashville. I am considering buying Vandy season baseball tickets and possibly going to their football games, even though they never play LSU.
Is this common? Going as far as buying season tickets might not be, but I'm a huge college baseball fan and they are pretty good this year. Not to mention that season tickets are only around $80.
Just wondering if other people who have moved to another SEC city commonly go to the games since they can't make it to their alumni school very often.

Moved to State this semester for graduate school. Plan on regularly attending baseball games. Will go to any football games when Bama is not playing at home or I'm not traveling to.

Will you be "that guy" and wear your Bama gear, or just try to blend in and enjoy the game?

Blend in for sure. If I wear a hat it'll probably be a Titleist Bama hat. But that's just cause its my only hat.

I go to every USCe home game since i am living in downtown Columbia. The wife's family are lifelong fans and she is a graduate, but it has been very enjoyable for me. Tailgating and SEC football is better than anything else on Saturdays, regardless of location IMO.

No, why would I? I've gone to bama games before on UGA's bye week, but that would be the only instance I would attend any bama or auburn home sporting events not involving UGA.
Edit: To clarify, I live in hoover so I'm still over an hour from either school so it's not like I can just skip down the road a few miles to attend. I have considered going to a UAB basketball game but haven't.

I'll drive up to Oxford for a home game once in awhile when state isn't at home and I feel like partying hard

I lice 30 minutes from the UT campus, I'm not going to watch their shitty teams unless of course Bama is playing them.

If LSU is playing football at the same time as a Vandy game, and I can catch the LSU game on tv, then yes, I will go somewhere to watch LSU instead.
But as far as baseball, it is never televised and I can't catch anything LSU related on radio, etc. so I figure I might as well go watch something live while I'm here.

I used to go to UGA games a lot when I lived in Atlanta. The majority of my friends were UGA fans/grads so I would tag along to see some football since I was missing out on a lot of Arkansas games.

I've seen your posts over the past week or so and I just want to let you know that you're way too excited about going to school in Starkville.
Oh, and prayers sent.

I wish LSU played in Nashville more often, but since the conference expansion I will probably only get to see a couple of matchups here in my lifetime.

I don't really see it as being "that guy." I sometimes wear Alabama stuff in Gainesville and Tallahassee. It usually leads to good conversations with real football fans. Plus if you're supporting the team by buying tickets to their games you're obviously not a prick or "that guy."

Been stalking the State board?
I woulda went to Auburn or Tennessee or almost anywhere if they would pay me and cover tuition like State did.
Thanks for the prayers. I said plenty when my sister went to Ole Miss. Black sheep of the family. My dad told her that they'd never beat Bama while she was there. She went there for undergrad and law school. And my dad was right. She's still waiting for that win to rub it in.
