Any word if Florida State vs. Boise State in Jacksonville will be moved/cancelled?

Also read that it's possible UGA@Vandy may not be shown on SECN Saturday night due to Dorian (depending, of course).

Saw on Vivid Seats that UGA fans will have 69% of the crowd in Vandy's stadium. Now, that's a takeover (not hard to do, though, at their place).

Why? Isn’t it supposed to be in Florida at that point?

The hurricane won’t make landfall in Florida until Monday.

Why would they cancel a game in Nashville?

It's supposed to be several hundred miles east of FL on Saturday, and not make landfall till Monday, why would it affect a game in Jacksonville (NE FL)?

Someone in the know stated it may be a possibility. I think it has to do with the predicted tracking of Dorian come Saturday night.

Not according to the Weather Channel, which updated the tracking at 12 noon Pacific (3pm Eastern)….it's now a hurricane and picking up speed...expected to be a Category 2 by the time it hits somewhere in Florida this weekend--not Monday.

Not Nashville--Jacksonville could be moved and/or cancelled.

So far, UGA@Vandy is on...someone with connections with the SECN on a Georgia board stated there is a possibility our game may not be televised---nothing said about it not being played.

Weather Channel says not till Monday here

Scroll down to find track in link

I think they maybe move the BSU/FSU game to 12 from a 7 PM time slot so they can get out of there that night but right now it's not supposed to be anywhere near Jacksonville on Saturday

What does a hurricane hitting Florida have to do with a game played in Nashville being televised?

UPDATE from WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Florida...….

*******

Many of you have reached out to us about what this storm could mean for Florida State's game this weekend in Jacksonville.

At this point, everything is on schedule for Saturday's match-up between Boise State and the Seminoles.
The Jacksonville Sports Council puts on this game and a spokesperson told us Tuesday "they haven't discussed canceling or postponing the game due to Tropical Storm Dorian. Right now, they're planning to proceed as normal."

We're told there will be a meeting Wednesday to discuss storm plans in more detail. If the track changes, the sports council says there is a plan in place.

We reached out to Florida State too, who said, "it's too soon to make any decisions, but when they are made, the safety of the student athletes and the fans will always be the top priority."

Have no idea...just repeated what I've seen on a message board from a well-connected person who would know...he said there is a "possibility"--not a certainty--that the projected tracking of Dorian could interfere with the telecast. I know not why nor any other details.

Again, why? It’s on the SECN all by itself and the game is in Nashville.

Maybe it is because of SECN being in Charlotte and possible storm tracking that way.

I live near Jacksonville. I went thru Andrew. I leave when a Hurricane comes near the east coast of Florida. I’m leaving for Georgia tomorrow morning. Good luck with their game.

I see your map...I'm not a meteorologist...they do expect landfall late weekend, so I apologize if I misunderstood what they said. But, the Weather Channel now says it's suppose to grow into a Cat 3.

Who knows why all the discussions of moving, canceling or whatever is going on. I just saw all the discussions going on other mssg boards.

Here's the latest from the Weather Channel...
