Any SEC RB could crack 2,219 yards rushing if they get enough carries

I think we need to contact the SEC official record holder keeper, and have them put an asterisk next to D. Henry's rushing yards record of 2,219 yards. Per several "prominent" Bama posters total yards rushing is not important. YPC is the end all stat of importance (Loose ah, Cajunbum, Jackingnola). See multitude of posts in this SECRant post
I mean, in 2015, when that record was set, Leonard Fournette rushed for 1,953 yards in 12 games, averaged 6.5 YPC, while D. Henry rushed for 2,219 yards in 15 games, averaging a paltry 5.6 YPC. So, in fact Fournette was clearly the best.
Even against common opponents, of which there were 6 (that is half the season so a good sampling), Fournette had a better YPC.
Thanks to the 3 Bamamigos for helping it be proven that Fournette > Henry in college.

That is Heisman Trophy Winner Derrick Henry to you buster.

It's not all about total yards or number of carries as much as it is about yards per carry ... although a back that is durable enough to carry the ball 30-40 carries a game is a workhorse and he wouldn't be getting the carries if he wasn't getting the ypc.

Hmmmm......
Fournette 19car 31 yards 1TD
Henry 38 car 210 yards 3TDs
Fournette 0 Heisman Trophys
Henry 1 Heisman Trophy

You won't like that argument, once you start listing all the RBs ahead of LF.

Is that the year he quit the Citrus Bowl?

Most running backs are not durable enough to get that many carries.
They also are not good enough to lead their teams to SECG, playoff semi-finals, or National Championships.
They will never get a chance to have that many carries.

You can't just act like Fournette vs. Alabama didn't happen.

What does that have to do with anything? Leonard had a better YPC stat against 6 common opponents.

And yet Henry won the Heisman while Fournette was in Baton Rouge watching on ESPN with you and every other bitter LSU fan.

Henry didn't run against Bama's D, and Fournette didn't run against LSU's D. You can't just act like they both ran against the same D.

Fournette did diddly squat against Alabama. He might as well have not even played in those 3 games. He disappeared.

Indeed.
146 yards rushing vs Bama is no small feat.
Unless it's your career total.

The truth is, for any RB, when you get a workhorse load of carries, defenses key on you and your YPC is less than it would be. Almost all the backs ahead of LF on YPC had substantially less carries.
The point of this post is simply that Tuscaloosa, etc. back in the day were all about the yardage totals, and He-man level carries Henry was getting. Now they flipped the script, and yardage isn't good, it's YPC. For them it is whatever stat suits their own purpose.
