Have they actually addressed this problem, or did they "just give one or two sentences" for the newspapers and popular Internet discussion sites for the "common people", thinking that they can brush aside this issue when they ate steak and drank beer and took shots on the beach in Destin during SEC meetings.

What are these SEC Meetings really for anyway? It really seems to do very little in the scope of things.

What is best for you over-paid Commissioners and over-paid Athletic Directors, and certainly over-paid coaches (all well-fed millionaires) isn't exactly what is best for our 124 year old conference.

Missouri in the East was a pitiful decision that other fans in the SEC have had to live with as far as travel and costs are concerned.

It is not that hard to understand.

I am NOT driving to Missouri or Texas A&M from Auburn no matter how much YOU think that we would for your personal paychecks each month. And I am sure the frick not booking a flight and flying to those locals...complete waste of valuable time and money.

We NEVER had to think about this before on the Plains because just going to GA, TN, and FL were very easy to do.

At least address the issue, or move along. I hope you are all fired, honestly. You have made this conference wealthy...but you have forgotten what this great conference is really all about. Sometimes it really isn't about the money. You need to remember that.

Uh, no there isn't. Just like there wasn't like 5 seconds ago when the last "Auburn to the east" thread was posted.

Tennessee gets to travel how far in your SEC East schedule every year? Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina? Short trips.

We have to go to Arkansas and Texas even though we are literally closer to the University of Florida and the University of Georgia than you guys are.

Let's trade. Let's put you guys and Missouri in the West and let you play in Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana every other Saturday.

The University of Tennessee wouldn't know what to do. You can't even beat the region you are currently in. At least Auburn has...even given our short end of the stick since conference expansion.

The west has been the tougher division since Saban arrived and Fulmer, Tebow and Meyer left. In almost every single one of the 16 or so years prior to that the east was far tougher. Quit acting like the victim.

We have beaten Saban, Fulmer, Tebow and Meyer. We have beaten Oregon and Kansas State in their best years under Snyder and Kelly. We have beaten Spurrier and Richt in their most deciding moments in history. We have done all of this all since the University of Tennessee has been even remotely relevant in this given time-frame. I understand that you are a proud program...but you and your entire University's sports programs has been more boring to watch over the past 10 years than watching paint dry and grass growing. Very boring program.

We would kick your arse if we were in the SEC East.

The east has only ever had Tennessee and Florida and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Georgia. The other three teams were dogshit for much of the 90s and 00s.

Every other year USC has to travel to both College Station, Texas and Columbia, Missouri

Those are the two farthest trips any team has to make in the conference and we have to make both every other year.

Quit bitching about moving Auburn to the East and start bitching about how asinine divisions are

Then a correction needs to be made, doesn't it.

Correcting it to allow Auburn and South Carolina to play like we should each year, would solve many of these "issues".

We have played in Williams-Brice only 2 times since I can remember. I honestly can't remember the dates. I know that we held the ball for the entire 3rd quarter on you guys in one game, and that you had a quarterback that went to my high school another time...Blake Mitchell (LaGrange, GA).

Playing you guys again would be a privalage. Your stadium was absolutely electric!

I would laugh if that was '03. LSU, that year, had a 3rd-4th quarter drive, against USC, that was over 20 plays, and 12 minutes. Almost entirely on the ground.

Amazing!!!

But for us, it was Tuberville vs Spurrier in 2006.

God I miss great defenses in the SEC. What has happened? Such epic games.

Me too. Some of my favorite games to watch were the Auburn games in '04, and '06.
Also why I want y'all to stay in the West. Been a couple exceptions, but we have had many classics.

2004. A hurricane just shut down power in Louisiana, but LSU fans didn't care. They traveled though Alabama the night before with epically strong thunderstorms knocking out power poll after power poll, all the way to Auburn...so even our city and stadium was without power when they got there. Tough trip, but neither fan-base cared that day. It was LSU-Auburn! The stadium was full before kick-off with people waiting in line. No one gave a frick about Mother Nature that day. It was only Auburn vs. LSU. Somehow, power was restored and we played an epic game that year. I forget the details because I was still a bit younger and not quite used to Jack Daniels.

I loved that freakin series!

That was my first year at Auburn, and my first game. It can't get any better than that.

Edit: 10-9 Auburn. Epic game.

I can't agree with that part. Hell of a game, but heartbreaking.
We obviously used to much voodoo on Oregon States kicker, and didn't save enough for Vaughn's two kicks( )

Haha! Just bring back those old SEC defensive lines and everything will take care of itself. There is nothing like it. Wish Auburn would go back to that...but I guess it is what it is. Loved LSU vs. Auburn! Truly classic and loved your fans. Just like us, yet you guys could cook a bit better...still haven't figured that one out.

Really? When was this exactly? In your haste to get away from Alabama I think you might be exaggerating a bit.

And couldn't the same be said about the West?

I mean, past Alabama, Auburn is a rollercoaster ride and is down as much as they are up. LSU has been steady. Then who is the other stalwarts? Mississippi? A&M? Arkansas?

I understand that the SEC schedules are set through 2025 so I seriously doubt anyone gives a rats arse about your problems. If the majority of the AD's and the school presidents wanted change it would happen. I suggest you email Jay and see where he stands. He is your joke of a leader right?

These meetings like a lot of big business are yearly state of the union type meetings. Think of them as a long annual stock holders meeting. If you can fathom such an event.
