In Richt's early years before he proved himself, I predicted he would end up replacing Nutt, but now it might end up the other way around. If 2013 and 2014 shite the bed and Richt is out, it will be Christ's Plan for Nutt to come coach at UGA.

you have to wonder what was up with that in retrospect... was he really trying to leave his options open if he wanted his old job back?

I think he knew LSU was the only school that would keep Nutt around until he wanted to retire, judging by Les Miles still being employed, he was probably right.
