Ole Miss heads into bowl season at 4-5, yet ESPN continues to prominently feature us on the home page of the college football section because of Lane.

You seriously cannot buy the type of publicity he brings to Ole Miss. The constant exposure is amazing, especially in spite of our record.

No one cares about Ole Miss. Lane Kiffin gets attention, but he'll take his attention with him when he leaves for a better job.

4mm a year at a mississippi school IS a better job.

Not as good as cutcliffe at Duke, but still. 4mm with little expectations is like being an nfl backup qb.

You know that thing they say about “No such thing as bad publicity.”?

Not exactly true.

There's a long list of "better" jobs than Ole Miss. If you think Lane is the kind of man to settle for a bottom third SEC program you're mistaken. He's the exact opposite of that.

Dan Mullen made more than that at State. hell, even Matt Luke made over $3MM. Kiffin's salary of $3.75M/year only surpassed Derek Mason and Sam Pittman in the SEC this year. The "better job" is the one where Ole Miss isn't writing the checks.

Like the other poster said, Lane Kiffin is the polarizing troll, not Ole Miss. The article on the front page is about best sound bites of the year. Lane provides those daily and has his entire career.

Completely agree. I’d be ashamed if 113k people had seen something like this promoting OM

My post was accurate, and my reading comprehension was spot on. As I said, he's bringing the attention now but he'll be taking it with him later.

Try not to melt so hard. I know you're upset about being Ole Miss and realizing every good coach you acquire will leave for a better job. Don't worry, I'm sure there's another Hugh Freeze out there somewhere just waiting to put Ole Miss back on probation.

Do you foresee kif getting OM to #1 at any point of any season?

Lol what? I’m melting because I agreed with you? Sorry that it seems far fetched to you that you could ever say something someone would agree with

Dude. I just melted, and my reading comprehension was horrendous. I'm laughing my arse at myself right now. You're totally right.
