What a joke.

I know you are laughing about Gus Malzahn, but at least he has played for a National Championship. Harbaugh has never even won his own division.

A little misleading. This number includes a 5 million dollar life insurance policy payable over the first 2 years. His base salary is $6 million. His average annual compensation is a little over $7 million a year. He is between Jimbo and Smart which seems fair.

Better than paying a few million to lose the Citrus Bowl, isn't it, WiLLyT?

Why will the SEC dominance continue for the foreseeable future? The highest paid P12 coach would be the 9th highest paid SEC coach.

How in the world are there rumors that Day might leave for the NFL this season? Dude has a $45,000,000 buyout!!!

I'm not familiar with this. How does that work? I mean, other than his beneficiary getting money if he dies, how does that benefit him? (I'm sure I am misunderstanding the situation, thus the request for clarification)

TCU is still a member of the G5 if not for Patterson. They probably matched what he was offered to keep him.

Yep, TCU has the smallest undergrad enrollment in FBS I believe. That he's made them competitive in the P5 (and nearly made the playoff in 2014) is astonishing

Buyout
2020 $21.4MM
2021 $16.2MM
2022 $10.9MM
2023 $5.5 MM

Gus may look like a geek, but is the best snake oil salesman in history. Getting paid to lose 3-4 games a year is brilliant. I could say the same for Jimbo, but at least he has a NC under his belt.
