Did an assistant coach set his house on fire too?

“That man had no right to hit me. I never told my mom. I never told anybody," Rison said. "The only people that really knew were our whole team and all the coaches. Nick Saban was on that staff. He was one of the ones that came to me and consulted me. That's why I respect him to this day. I don't have to call Nick Saban every day and knock his door down, but Nick Saban offered my son a scholarship [to Alabama], and that was fair to me. That was fair and was all I ever asked for. I love Nick. I love Nick like a father figure.”
Damn, Ole Sabear has been a racial healer for 25 years

I remember when she burned his house down. Wonder if she's any relation to Rolondo McClain?

The man is known as St. Nick for a reason.

Why? Everyone already knows he is an a-hole.

Is this the same Saban that stepped over a practically dying lineman in the locker room at halftime of a game he was losing?

That story has evolved dramatically in the last 14 years.

"We had about a three-hour-plus practice in the morning in that South Florida sun," Evans recalled.
quote:
"I recall the incident. He had abdominal cramps, full-body cramps. I think it was a lot worse than what Coach Saban knew. I wouldn't say he just stepped over him. Jeno was in pretty bad shape. I don't think us as players knew how bad it was."
quote:
James ended up hospitalized that day for dehydration, and stated at the time, that Saban showed up about 45 minutes after James was admitted. He said the coached stayed until after midnight and, "It made me feel pretty good about this team to see my head coach there."

Saban had some serious talent at Michigan State, I think they were on probation so depth was an issue though: Flozell Adams, Plaxico, Tony Banks, Mushin Muhammad, Derrick Mason, TJ Duckett..

A coach shouldn't strike a kid who can't fight back. Period. It's a pussy move.
