I love it when the gumps say we haven't played Kentucky in awhile, when it has been longer since you played Georgia.

By the Bama 2009 schedule featured 3 7-6 East teams.

Alabama is playing the two shittiest teams in the east two years in a row while LSU plays the top 3 teams in the east.

you know before the new schedule came out it was LSU fans bitching about the permenant rival because they didnt get to play teams like UGA and USC enough. you guys just finished playing these cake walk teams, while bama hasnt in years. :DWI:

Oh….and don't bitch about your 2011 schedule. LSU, not the SEC, scheduled the games with Oregon and West Virginia

no one is talking about ooc games. im not sure why you even brought that up.

Alabama fans were griping about bye weeks where there were actually no games played.

LSU fans are griping about actual games played on the field, where division members face unequal conference schedules.

Both gripes about scheduling, no doubt, and both legit gripes, but one clearly has a tad more substance than the other.

Exactly. Opponents' bye weeks =/= much tougher opponents.

One could say it's not fair that Alabamas gets a weak TN every year and you guys get a strong Florida but.... You do need to realize that Alabama was not done any favors at the time this was started. TN was no cupcake back then but it has worked out in their favor lately.

When it was first done Alabama had two permanent opponents and it was done a favor on the second one. There was balance because there were two. Those that don't know history are doomed to make misleading points on the internet about it.

We played Georgia in December - in their own backyard no less.

I could not care less about the non-conference schedule. I actually enjoyed it.

But if we're going to keep standings in the SEC, which everyone apparantly wants to do, then the SEC scheduling without question has to be reformed. They're working on it... smart people know that it's currently fricked up.

Durr…maybe because it's been brought up by LSU fans before?

if that had any relevance, LSU wouldn't be playing them this year since we could say the same thing about 2011. Of course, you know it is irrelevant.

You didn't say anything about the regular season. You simply said, and I'm paraphrasing here, it's been a while since Alabama played Georgia.

Might want to be a little more specific.

actually someone else said that, not me.

in consecutive posts you bring up ooc, and sec championship game. as if either are in any way part of the conversation.

it just points to you trying to change the subject and distract away from the truth.

I'd be glad to play Georgia every year. We should…they share a border with Alabama and should therefore be a natural rival.

Roll Tide...just a quick question or two : Was the "open date issue", prior to bama games properly and quickly corrected ?
Has the "bridge schedule bias", even been addressed ?
IF you can answer those two questions w/o bias...you should be able to discern some kind of "fairness inequity"...am I right ????

So wait, the premise here is that the SE is giving Bama an easy schedule to get them to the title game?

Pretty sure A&M and LSU would also have a pretty decent shot at making the BCS title game if given those two eastern opponents, too. If this held any water, wouldnt they want to give at LEAST two strong teams easy cross-division games to be safe?

I don't buy it.

You should stop posting in this thread. Your points are so terrible and no one cares. People that actually know something about the subject at hand would like to discuss it.

The truth is nothing is going to change. Tennessee is our cross-division rival. If you don't like it….tough.

Good. Now that you've settled that, get out of the thread. You have nothing to add.

I wouldnt say they "intentionally" did it but they had the chance to even it out after year 1 of the nonrotation and instead they made it even worse. to be that inept at your job is hard to fathom.

with that said i have a hotel in athens and am looking forward to the trip.
