Ban thread. Delete user.

RA'd for more reasons than there are coaches who have turned UT down.

y'all are talking shite, but that brings together a lot of what has gone on to this point.

I understand everyone thought the Gruden stuff was bullshite, but so many people that know boosters or had reliable information previously were 100 on the thought Gruden would be the H.C.

It also kind of gives context to how quickly the level of outrage was mounted towards Schiano. The thing that got that deal nixed wasn't the fans it was all the boosters/politicians.

I'd say it's at least feasible.

Why don't the other prominent boosters go to Davenport with the promise to land gruden if she fires Currie and hires Blackburn? Or why doesn't Blackburn ask for a mtg with her and offers to make all this go away if she replaces Currie with him???

What was the TERRIBLE amendment made by the CJG camp?

Why don't they just fire Currie, let Pumpkin King finish the fight with the coaching search and figure the rest out later?

Oh, cause VOLS.

Currie has a 5+ million dollar buyout. We have to pay the a-hole we just hired that much to go away.

That decision likely gets some higher ups fired as well. Those higher ups are the same people that'd have to make the decision.

Unless the decision to go after Schiano was an AD going rogue.

I could see this being the case. On top of Haslam's influence, Currie admitted in one of his releases he was friends with Schiano. Would explain why they went to him so soon as opposed to Cutcliffe, Gundy, etc.

That 5M charge pales in comparison to what his coaching hire will cost your university in the next 3 seasons. You can close the upper decks; y'all won't need them.

If canning Currie lands Gruden, you will make that 5M back the day Gruden is announced through sold out season tickets and new donations!

Can say similar things for Miles/Kiffin/Petersen if he's possible as opposed to what getting a Doeren who is likely to turn out to be the same mold as Jones/Dooley will do for the program.

I don't know how the A.D. can't reconcile that. The only thing I continue to go back to though when nothing makes sense is our biggest outside power broker has oversight of the biggest disaster of football in the history of the sport, the browns. After that clicks, I cry. Profusely.

I don't know why everyone's bad mouthing you for this link. The thing actually makes some sense, there was a report that came out Sunday that Gruden was willing to come to Tennessee with the right staff but just a little after, Schiano was announced and the shite hit the fan.

Edit: found the article LINK /

UT football will never reach its potential until the rest of the boosters pull a proverbial "Brad Wesley" coup and tell Haslam to have a seat or GTFO. Someone needs to tap into Ergen's piss and vinegar motivational side...

Gtfo for even mentioning hack writing like 50 shades of grey in the same breath as Lord of the Rings.
