Am I supposed to believe it’s just a coincidence?

That all the talking heads and “journalists” in favor of playoff expansion are also coincidentally homers for mediocre programs and/or conferences?

How small of a brain does it take to watch the last few playoffs and come to the conclusion that there are enough good teams any given year to make a 6+ team playoff “good”?

It's a participation trophy for Group of 5 and the Pac-12. With a few extra Power 5 teams thrown in. Just try it Mikey.. You might like it.

It is foolish. PAC 12 etc can’t get a team in so legislate their way… thinking maybe they can get lucky. You could have a scenario where teams play three times like PAC 12 last year - if there had been a 12 team playoff.

How many games does NCAA want teams to play in a season? 16-18? I wasn’t in favor of four teams and even less enamored of 8 or 12.

B1G loves it because they would have had more playoff teams than the SEC with the 12 team format.

Remember they've only ever won one. We definitely need that conference with higher representation :eyeroll:

Why the hate? The 12 team playoff guarantees 11 relevant games vs 3. More games that matter, the better it is for me

An expanded playoff is stupid and will ruin bowl games forever if it happens. Giving 4 teams a chance is more than fair. It’s about your body of work, so reward the regular season. This isn’t the nba

Because there is just a zero chance that more than 6 teams have a chance to win it all. It will kill the regular season and conference championships, while beating the dead horse of the bowls. I believe the average 4 seed loses by 31ish points. I don't care for March Madness, I don't want a march Madness for football. The NBA/MLB/FIFA use a best of series/scoring system for a reason. Also the players aren't the one pushing for this, every snap increases the chances they will have a career-ending injury before ever signing a contract. If you want a semi-pro schedule pay the players.

Well, a lot of these journalists stand to gain a lot by having these kids play more games where they can have career derailing injuries.
