There's not many of them for Vandy. This absurd rules situation has been around for a generation, but abused for probably a decade. Mostly by Vandy. Go 'Pack.

Either play by the same rules as everyone else or accept that you're going to get threads like this until you do and shut up. Both are acceptable.

Vandy didn't have a damn thing to do with this.

Vanderbilt is simply using particular rules to their advantage as their state school brethren have done since,uh,forever.

I'm rooting for college baseball, not your AA team. I'm rooting for the College of Charleston, or Auburn even.

You have 35 pro baseball players. Auburn and Alabama have 15. UF, LSU, Ole Miss and MSU have 25. If anything were even on the rules I would't have a problem.

we are in the same boat as alabama and auburn. we now have a state lottery, but it contributes ZERO to baseball scholarships...ZERO...or to education in any way for that matter. my understanding is that its 100% infrastructure with things going toward education after a goal is met.

Other than being allowed to sign triple the amount of scholarship players of any other SEC baseball team?

Where have you been the last decade+?

Does Arkansas have a scholarship lottery, waive out-of-state tuition, give academic scholarships, or otherwise provide financial aid?

Objectively false. Georgia is a drop in the bucket compared to what schools like Vandy, Virginia, and Stanford get away with. Vandy being the most egregious of all three.

quote:

It’s no secret that Vanderbilt, in particular, has a huge advantage because of its massive amount of institutional aid; it doesn’t even have to sign many players to a National Letter of Intent, because it doesn’t need to give many players any athletic scholarship money at all.

I thought the spell corrections went out a decade ago online? I use two fingers to type. I'm sorry I mispelled something. You got me.

They don't do what Vandy does. Not close.

Do people not know you don't hate the player, you hate the game?

As far as I can tell, Vandy didn't make the rules.
