All SEC Schedule

How much better is this schedule than other years? Every week, I get to watch a bunch of quality SEC games instead of half the games being against Division 1AA teams. Last week, we got to see quality SEC football games from 11AM-11PM.
In the future, I would support having a 10 game SEC schedule with only 2 non-conference games...only one of which can be against a non-power conference team. I think this year is proving that we don't need tune-up games against overmatched opponents.

Absolutely. It might be the death of the smaller non-P5 programs, however.

My only argument against it is will the CFB playoff committee legitimately look at the strength of SEC teams playing each other versus other conferences and give multiple SEC teams the nod even if they beat up on each other?
Because an all-ACC schedule doesn't touch an all-SEC schedule.

10 SEC games
SEC East plays 2 ACC teams
SEC west plays 2 Big 12 teams
Get the TV market without expansion

An all-ACC schedule wouldn't be equal at all, but that would just mean Clemson makes the playoff every year...which they do anyways. Clemson is a legit top 3 team every year that just happens to play in a garbage conference. If you remove Clemson from the ACC, then I think their conference champion would have 3+ losses every year and wouldn't sniff the playoffs. So, I don't think adding more SEC games would hurt our chances of getting more teams in the playoffs as long as other conferences follow suit with more conference games and fewer non-P5, nonconference games.

I am more a fan of a 9 SEC Games, 2 games of a power 5 conference swap. Like the SEC teams up with Big10 for one game and one game with the ACC. Then you can play one directional school but it has to be within the first 3 weeks.
Also I would put in two bye weeks and both of them would come before they play an OOC power 5 and not their conference rivals.

I like Smokeys plan and allow P5 schools to schedule G6 schools for spring games.

A 10 game SEC schedule plus Clemson every year? No thanks.

UofSC get Clemson and a rotation
UGA gets GT and a rotation
Kentucky gets Louisville and a rotation
Florida gets FSU and a rotation
Vandy gets Wake Forrest and a rotation
Tennessee gets VaTech and a rotation
Mizzou gets NC State and a rotation
That way you keep (or create) natural rivals
I don’t keep up with west OOC to do their big 12 rivals.

So what about the lost home revenue from those cupcake games?
It also hurts those town's economy.
We already go home and home with GT and gain virtually nothing from it

SEC needs to scrap divisions, and play a 9 game schedule. With 14 teams, its very easy to create a schedule that rotates every year to play each team twice every four years, while keeping rivalries in place. Every team has 5 "rivalry" games that they play every year. The remaining 8 teams are are split to play every other year. Then play 2 P5 teams and a G5, no more FCS.
Mizzou Schedule:
5 rivalry games
Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas A&M
Even Years:
Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt
Odd Years:
Auburn, LSU, Mississippi St, Tennessee

This is the problem with the many of the schedules proposed above. Good P5 teams want at least 7 home games each year.
An All SEC schedule would only provide 6 home games each year. Don't see the schools be okay with this.
A 10 conference game SEC schedule would get each team 5 home games, so schools would want both OOC games to be home games. No other good P5 conference team is going to play at an SEC school without a return game. So either every other year the school would only have 6 home games, or the schools won't schedule other P5 teams in order to get the 7 home games each year.
Schools do not schedule for fans, they schedule for the money.
A 9 conference game schedule would work if the years a school only gets 4 conference home games their P5 OOC game is a home game. This may be difficult some years, but is workable.

I feel like the SEC could get a better TV deal if you sub in two additional conference games for nonconference games against crappy teams. This additional TV revenue would more than make up for one home game (against a garbage opponent that no one cares about) per year.

Unrelated, but you need to change your team logo from Arky to LSU.

Good. Then they can drop to FCS like they should have done years ago and we can all finally stop pretending that everyone in FBS legitimately competes for the same title.

You don’t feel that people would attend better games? With better programs wouldn’t you expect their fans to travel?
