I doubt they put a game in Starkville on CBS.
Probably ESPN night games.

My guess is ESPN creates a new ESPN 4, just for low-level teams such as MSU, Akron, & Idaho.
Instead of only being able to access it via Cable like ESPN 1 or 2, or via the internet like ESPN3, a user would need to purchase a View Master to check out the games.

CBS almost never features MSU. For whatever reason, I've always found it to be strange.

So State has two Saturday SEC home games?

Nobody outside the SEC will give a shite about this crappy game.

I wouldn't care at all if we never have a CBS game. The game drags out with their 15 minute long commercial breaks every other 1st down.

Yep, and 3 other OOC home games hosting Alcorn State, Bowling Green, and Troy.

I don't see the virtue of expanding a stadium if you are going to start 100% pandering to the TV audience while screwing the people that actually attempt to buy season tickets and go to the games.
Well then you don't understand how TV deals work.
ESPN and CBS tell us when our games will be. That really isn't up to us, period.

Are you sure about that? All 3,378 of them?

We also play LSU and Bama at home both of whom are definately ESPN and possibly CBS games.
TV exposure is good but only when youre winning the games.

Feel free to link me to them telling anyone they had to play half their conference home games on Thursday...if you can? They may "tell" you when you play -- but you also tell them when you don't. There's a reason you don't see the vast majority of the SEC playing conference home games on a Thursday(outside of extreme circumstances such as an exclusive kickoff game or a Thanksgiving holiday game) -- and that reason is because they tell the SEC and ESPN to go frick themselves.
Ole Miss hasn't hosted a SINGLE Thurs game in Vaught-Hemingway since Egg Bowl 2002. You really trying to say that MSU is such a better tv draw for the conference that the SEC has given us 7 HOME conference games in this "exclusive" Thursday slot since they last gave OM one? Yeah, I didn't think so. Difference is that we haven't told them to go frick themselves yet -- and they've repaid this by fricking us.
Basically, we were promised that we were going TO Mizzou this year in order to get us to agree to the OK State kickoff game(we were due for either Mizzou or Vandy). Did we get that? No. Sent to South Carolina only AFTER we'd signed papers on the game in Reliant. So, we had no Thurs game and they got us to agree to move up the UK game based on that being the only one. Fine. THEN they come back and grant the previous request to have the Egg Bowl on Thursday -- basically fricking us for agreeing to the UK game previously.
They didn't TELL us we had to do this. We volunteered on the Egg Bowl awhile back hoping to get/hold this Thanksgiving Night slot -- and I'd be FINE with moving the Egg Bowl -- if not for the UK game ALSO being on a Thursday. I pay way too much for tailgating for 30% of those opportunities to basically be wasted...
I'll say it again. The UK game ends the sellout streak in Davis Wade.
