If by well you mean lose in the first round, then yes.

He did better than I expected, he more than held his own out there

At least his swing won't be fricked up from the extra rounds and he can get back to kicking arse for the Astros

Let me run to the rant to over compensate for Bregman before someone trolls about him losing.

MVP is a stretch, but he should definitely win a Gold Glove.

No but I remember him posting on TR about an hour ago saying he would’ve won easily but for the 30 second bonus round. So as an Astros fan he had no issue claiming moral victories with like minds. But to keep up appearances on the secrant, he feels the needs to turn a 180. Funny how that works

Kinda like how “all LSU grads are dumb & poor”.

Except their current AD that they’re slobbering on.

So a gold glove winner that’s on pace to hit 40 Homer’s? How’s that not mvp caliber?

He isn't on pace to hit 40 and there are several other players in the AL having better seasons.

Bregman is 6th in the AL in WAR, 8th in OPS, 6th in RBIs, 8th in SLG, and was just named AL player of the month. No, he is not likely to win the MVP (Betts, Trout or Martinez will), but if he continues to play like he has been, he could be in the top 5 of MVP voting which is quite an accomplishment for his 2nd full season in the majors when he was playing college baseball 3 years ago.

Yup, AL MVP as of today is Trout or Betts.

Now in the NL...Bregman would be head and shoulders above the rest of the competition, which is pretty much wide wide open.

Dude has been great, but it isn't an MVP season at this point.

As others have said, it might be in the National League. The American League is just stacked right now.
