Ale Kalo “transfer” maneuver will need rules

The Ale Kalo “transfer” sets a bad precedent and opens the proverbial slippery slope. Firstly, the receiving team gets a “transfer” who really NEVER was enrolled in the previous school. Therefore this maneuver allows the receiving team, which already possesses a maxed out recent recruiting class, to over sign and therefore gain another uncounted recruit -because he is termed a “transfer”. This mechanism WILL be increasingly utilized to fill up the whole roster AND over sign recruits for that year.
Unless this is controlled, it could turn the ”commitment” into a hollow agreement. One remedy is for the NCAA to count that never enrolled “transfer” for the next year’s recruiting class for the receiving school.

You cant go over 25 guys still even with transfers like that. He counts against that. They arent manipulating any rules to get a guy in like that in that manner.
Now, how they got a kid at the 11th hour to flip over to them after supposedly not talking to him the last 8 months, that's another question. Very conveniently right after they kicked an ILB off the team

He counted against our 18 class... We had spots left. Didn’t sign 25 last year. Saban knows what he’s doing

The deception is the problem here and the only thing you can do about it is dispute letting them out of their commitment. This guy told Udub that he need to be closer to his mom. Petersen was a stand up guy and said ok and let him go. Then he stabs him in the back goes Bama. Then Bama is telling everyone he couldn't make the grades at Udub to get in. That was not the original story.

You realize everyone wants free agency, but gets mad at somebody going to another school. Oh yeah, Bama.

You mean like being a grad transfer and saying that the school doesn’t have your masters program.. but really it’s because of playing time? Saban spoke against free agency and everyone jumped on him. Well here it is... enjoy

You fricking idiot.
Alabama only signed 21 kids in last year's class.

Free agency will ruin college football.

I Thought Saban already did according to L7U??

I believe a lot of us pointed out that nobody was going to like playing this game against Saban and Bama.

So you want more rules for an event that happens about once a decade, maybe less?

Which is what made it okay. He never enrolled and Washington gave him a waiver. Had Washington not given him a waiver from his LOI, then a problem would have happened.

This is wrong, too. He counted against their 2018 class which was not maxed out. Alabama had an open slot.

How so? The signing school would simply not give the recruit a waiver and he would be bound by any other transfer rules, meaning he would have to sit a year.

And again, he counted against Alabama's 2018 class in which they undersigned.
You are getting all upset about a situation you are not familiar with.

And again you don't know what you are tlaking about, either. You are trying to compare a graduate transfer to an undergraduate transfer. Saban has gotten undergraduate transfers, too, in the past and will do so in the future. it is legal and has been legal from many, many years.
Maybe you and the OP can get together and complain about more stuff you don't understand.

Now I am confused. Alabama people told us he was a starter? how could it have been about playing time?

You really have no idea how the two are not even remotely similar, do you?
You are still crying about Mo Smith? Time to move on.

You sure about that? Saban said that he was declined admission into Washington, not that he just changed his mind all of a sudden.
