Alabama’s road to the title

Georgia, Oklahoma, then Clemson (the three best teams not named Alabama).
Clemson’s road: Pitt, ND, then Bama/Oklahoma.
No complaints, I love us playing the best, but for the season-long #1 team, we still ended up with the toughest road to the title.

Oklahoma has no defense, Alabama will easily control the ball
So if OU has to kick 3 times (punt or FG) then they lose, because Alabama will eat up the clock and keep the OU offense on the sideline.
Bama wins by 20

Facts aren’t complaints. Alabama will take on all comers.

It’s pretty simple. Find refs that will let the o line blantantly hold once they get down and they will be alright

Actually I think Alabama got the best of the deal. OU is not a physical team. Alabama is beaten up and has a month to recuperate. Playing OU will help as I doubt Tua or Jalen will have to throw a pass (unless they want to.)
Alabama will be able to ram the ball down the throat of the OU defense, so our QB will most likely not be touched. This and controlling the clock makes this a very easy game for Alabama.

The winner of the Bama-OU game will be the NCs.

I knew I would have to correct Aggies on this but you’d think a Bama fan would actually check stats: OU is 63rd against the run (yeah bad but not that bad since they are 4 worse SEC run defenses). You can PASS all day against our D no problem.
We are 8th in rushing offense (ahead of all SEC offenses). Cue the predicable only cause you baws don’t play D.

Well, if a team passes against OU all day, then OU's run stats would be fairly good. Which SEC teams have a worse run defense?

Congrats on having that, although you are right, the Big 12 is not known for defense.
OU long ago went away from a defense first team, and because of that, has not won a NC in almost 20 years.
Alabama will control the ball and the clock

Ou is like 63 or so in run defense but they are 126 in passing yards allowed! That’s 4th from last place in case you weren’t counting. It sounds like Bama will be able to throw the ball anywhere they want. Another fun stat. OU is next to last in the entire fbs in red zone defense. Whew.

Never in history has a team been expected to go 15-0, beating #s 4, 3, and 2 in consecutive games to win the title.
It's basically set up like, "If you want to win the title, you have to be the best team in cfb history."

ND is better than Clemson, IMO.

The 14 point spread might be the greatest no brainer. Take every free dime you have and put it on OU. ....Maybe the surest bet of any sporting event ....ever.

Here's the dealio....yea, our defense, for us, is historically bad....but...our offense is also, for us, historically good. So the net effect is nearly a push. But here is the good news for us...these guys on defense, while massively failing to live up to their potential are not scrubs. They were highly recruited guys, even outside of the big 12, who have mostly thus far failed badly to live up to expectations. The Texas and West Virginia game showed they at least have upgraded their play from very very bad to marginally bad and the Texas game was borderline ok. We shall see.

We’ll find out soon enough...but you might want to check out all your fellow gump posters whining about Clemson getting a “bye” in the semi final.

I would bet on at least 5 SEC teams to beat Notre Dame.

So would I ...I’d add aTm as the sixth.

Alabama, Georgia, Florida, MSU, LSU, Kentucky, TAM, and Auburn would all beat Notre Dame.
I think ole miss and missouri would give them all they could handle, if not win outright.
Notre Dame is a bigger fraud than Michigan was.
