This has to be a frustrating year for the season ticket holder. You want the students/fans to stay until the end of the game? You might want to schedule some decent opponents at home.

Not good except for LSU. It will get better once we start some of our H&H we have scheduled

What’s frustrating is Saban still bitching about students leaving early when the combination of opponent and no one else wanting to air the games at night makes it understandable.
No fan wants to watch their team beat up on a HS caliber opponent in 100 degree heat.

The obsession with Alabama's schedule is always the peak of the CFB season.

I don't know that last year was much better?
Bama beat every opponent by something like 2-3 TDs.
Arky St 57-7
aTm 45-23
UL 56-14
Mizzou 39-10
MSU 24-0
Citadel 50-17
Auburn 52-21

Hopefully we don't lose this home conference game.

Someone will be along shortly to tout their end of season SoS last year (including the SEC championship, playoff, and national chamionship.)
In Bama’s defense, though, I think they are trying to take steps to improve the value for their season ticket holders. It takes a few years for a change in scheduling philosophy to start kicking in.

Your home schedule doesn't look so hot either bud:
Tulane
Kent State
Miss St
Ole Miss
UGA
Samford
Bama
Which of those opponents did you specifically schedule as home games?

Saban's a liar, plain and simple. 100% he has approved every game on their schedule. People are calling them out on their powderpuff scheduling, and he's feeling the consequences, so he's just trying to deflect the blame.

Historically these have been good programs. By sheer rotten luck (and horrible hires) all three are in woeful shape at the same time and happen to land on Bama's schedule.
Not that long ago those three plus LSU and Southern Miss would have been a dynamite home game line up.

Bama had to institute a Tide Loyalty ticket program due to the dwindling numbers of students staying at the games. Both Saban and the AD spoke about it this week. I’d say it’s a concerning issue for Bama right now. The boring home game schedule doesn’t help

How would having the likes of Florida, Wisconsin, or Notre Dame at home change things? We're going to win by 30+ and it's going to be boring.

It's funny how Alabama fans refer to LSU as being good only when it suits their narrative.

Does Auburn even have a home game in October this year?

We are trying to get 10 SEC games and 2 P5 opponents for all SEC clubs. Best thing AU fans can do is get on board with your in state neighbor school and push for the same.
Reason Bama wants that is three fold. (1) We are having a hell of a tuff time getting anyone to play us. Nobody wants to ruin their season with a 50 pt loss opening day. The kickoff classic game we played in this year had to go all the way to Duke to find an opponent. We had signed up blind several years before. (2) Playing a schedule like that, 10 and 2 P5's would allow a loss and still make the playoffs. (3) And finally the students would stay for a more competitive game where the score was not out of hand by the 3rd quarter.
Alabama set the mark for the league in older days by playing the powerful Southern California Trojans and Tom Osborne's Nebraska Cornhuskers and Notre Dame home and home. And set it again by facing all comers after Saban's arrival inc Clemson, USC, Michigan, Wisconsin. And we have Texas and Notre Dame and Oklahoma home and home coming. But the league needs to beef up inter conference play because like it or not that is the future playoff wise. 2 P5's and 10. Get on board.

Everyone in America is having this problem with bad games and blowouts. This is Auburn's student section during the Tennessee game last year
Alabama just has blowouts in almost every single home game we play. The student section is generally packed at the start of almost every game - Saban just wants them to stay for the 4th quarter of a 30-40 point game.
Alabama has won 31 straight home games. Only 1 of those games has been by less than 10 points (2015 Tennessee 19-14).
Alabama has played 1 home game that ended in a less than 3 score win since 2016 (2017 LSU 24-10). That's 26 home games and 25 of them ended in Alabama wins over more than 16 points, most of them more than 21 points.
It's a pretty unique situation.
