AU's identity as a football program is dramatic victories over Bama. Without them they would have little identity as a program.

U became a program when the state forced us to play. If not for Montgomery you'd be playing home games at the crampton bowl and battling ole miss or state for last place. U do that half the time anyway.

We actually played in 1891-1892.
