This actually takes business savvy and critical thinking skills. Kirby can't just take a cell phone picture of a board and call it a day.
Kirby has a Finance degree from one of the best business schools in the South, you dunce

Hot damn. How many years has he been involved in finance? If I'm not mistaken he's been involved in athletics since he graduated from Georgia over 20 years ago.

Being the most popular college team in a state with no pro teams, Alabama will greatly benefit from this new rule.

Given that he has basically been running fundraising for Georgia football since he got here, at least 6 years. But nah, the dude who recruits better than arguably anyone in the country has no business saavy.

I believe most major college athletic departments have something similar. Bama behind the curve.

Being a bagman doesn’t count

I always thought Bama players were not very good at maximizing their brand when they got to the next level. They could do better. Derrick Henry should be all over TV for example. JULIO Jones’ brand could have been better as well.

No but raising the funds necessary to build a new IPF, new stadium locker room and recruiting lounge, and a soon to be completed new weight room and addition to the football complex when, before, we had a 35 yard multipurpose room reflects some business know how and salesmanship.
That he can also organize and orchestrate an intricate web of bagmen that makes the REC sweat is only ancillary to the point.

college football is officially dead

Correct. Many other schools have also revealed plans for their branding.

Same. Most programs (including Bama) have already been teaching financial literacy to their players over the Summer for years, too. This just gives it all a more immediate application.
