I hope they will be, but I'm not sure. Texas, Auburn, LSU, and Alabama all have national championships since 2000. ATM will likely be the thorn, a pain but manageable. Texas Longhorns will be championship material.

Let's be honest, A&M is a reject school after Austin. Longhorns rule Texas.

No you're not. And I'm happy to have Aggie in this conference, they take in the over-aggressive and insecure males and give them a high-n-tight and pretend military uniform and put them to work. It takes them out of decision making.

If Florida can have three big programs (FSU, UF, Miami), and Alabama can have two big programs, why can’t Texas have two national brand level programs?

No one else but us and Texas fit the bill for that.

Have a 4+ year period of consistently having 10 or more wins, competing for titles and major bowl victories and A&M could become that. A&M just hasnt really experienced consistent success ever, there's nothing for you to brag about. You were very close to being a national brand in the 90's but the entire conference was under sanctions and you lost almost every damn bowl game.

Lulz. Colleges with the Highest Acceptance Rate in America for 2018

Texas A & M University College Station
College Station, Texas
34,780 Applicants 67%

Texas Tech University
Lubbock, Texas
23,311 Applicants 63%

Texas Tech, who you Aggies constantly belittle as "Tech Tards," has a lower acceptance rate than A&M. Your school has become a diploma mill. That would piss me off if I were an Aggie.

Don't let reality stop you and keep deluding yourself with an undeserved sense of superiority. It's the Aggie way.

Poor aggy, trotting out salary information that's mostly self-reported.

Everyone knows that an aggy wouldn't lie about and inflate their salary out of a massive inferiority complex (yes, that's sarcasm).

This is silly. If the same 23k that got into A&M that applied to TTU, then they would have 100% acceptance rate. A fair amount of the 23k accepted are automatically accepted due to state laws. Then I guess we set the standard at wanted to serve Texas by being X size (~10K freshman a year I think) so on average ~45% of kids accepted actually come here. tu doesn't want to be quite as big. They actively growing like A&M. Their acceptance rate is still over 40% and of those accepted get around 46%. The avg incoming freshman at tu and A&M aren't all that different. However leaving the school A&M grads on average do a little better. Much better bang for your buck.
